I'd still like to see what guys like Strome and Nelson can do with proven coaches, but I would listen to trade offers. Would be very nice to move Bailey in the offseason since he has one year left on his deal. A new GM will not have Bailey love like Garth. Quine, Prince, and Chimera can go now.

We are stuck with Ladd too but I really think a new system would be a huge help. Now we aren't the pens but Sullivan let them open up their game and look what they did same team new coach. Please let this staff go

One thing is we will likely find out about a lot of young players next year as the Isles will not have a lot of Cap room to make a lot of changes. Barzal, Beau, Strome, and Nelson will likely have a new coach to learn from.

Firing anyone would at least be something at this point Cpt. Better than not doing anything at all.

This is (frank)ing insane. I love how islander fans are making excuses for the owners ineptitude with the old well we can't replace the coach mid-season bs. Blah blah blah. This a (frank)ing joke at this point.

I'm not ready to give up on Ledecky and Malkin, but they are dead wrong not making any changes. No reason at least for Cappy to be fired and I still think you could have had Lou's kid take over as GM for this year and see how he does. No way should they have a first season as owners like this.

This is unacceptable at this point. You don't preach accountability and do nothing. This is not a good look. There's no way to doll this shat show up.

I agree. This year and the non-action is a horrible look. I cannot hammer them for not firing Garth and Cappy in July. Once the season starts and goes bad, Cappy has to be fired and Ledecky has to step in and do it if Garth will not.

Why wouldn't he be available for the right price? Snow fvcked this up. The correct answer was, "It depends."

You are correct that the Isles need to take action. The amazing thing to me is that lets not forget, Malkin and Ledecky have been part of the organization for several years. They bought in and were minority owners for 2 seasons prior to becoming majority owners this past July, so they have had plenty of time to evaluate. Now to be fair, the team made the playoffs and advanced a round so Ledecky was probably spending more time looking for ways to improve the fan experience in Barclays which by all accounts was a disaster. But to not have an idea that if changes were to be made he would need a full season I think is crazy. Apparently for 2 seasons he traveled with the team and met with the other organizations to see how they operate to get a good idea how to improve the game day experience for fans and players. He must have met some people along the way that he would want to hire.

The issue I have is if he is going to make significant changes, why not pull the trigger now. The trade deadline is approaching followed by the expansion draft, draft and UFA. Put the person in charge now that will bring the organization forward for the next several years. Don't allow Snow to pull the trigger on trades and then fire him this summer. That makes no sense. And as far as Cappy, it is time to go. The possession numbers are terrible yet he always says it isn't the system. It is the system. The numbers have gone from top 10 to last over 3 years. The Isles haven't lost that much talent. And the handling of Beauvillier is horrible. Play the kid. I don't need to see Chimera or Quine out there nightly.

I agree. Send a message. As it stands now the Isles would have to go 28-17-0 to get to 94 points. The playoffs are out of reach. There is absolutely no reason to keep Snow or Crappy around. Crappy has proven he's over his head time after time. Snow refuses to fire Crappy either because he's willfully ignorant or too damn stubborn. Either case is justification for showing Snow the door.

My only hope is that the reason L & M haven't poopcanned everyone down to the cleaning staff is because they agreed to keep these idiots around for the full year as part of the agreement with Wang. That lunatic is still a minority owner. There is a reason he didn't turn over control until July 1st. It's probably a pipe dream but it makes me feel better.

Who's making that excuse? I know i said in early November to poopcan Zippy and Snowjob, make Weight the interim coach and Lou's kid the interim GM. I got blasted for that. There were a few people that agreed, but the majority were saying you can't have an interim GM. Why the fvck not? He's an egotistical piece of crap that would rather not look like he made a mistake then do what's in the best interest of the team. He's blinded by his own ego.

How many times have i said L&M need to do something. Exactly what you said. Don't preach it and then sit on your hands. He wants to stand in front of a crowd and give a rah rah speech. Blow sunshine up everyone's ass. Then pulls a disappearing act when things started off sour. Then re-emerges when they string together a few decent games only to go back into hiding. I hold out very little hope for this ownership group. I'll give them the off-season, but if either of these fvck holes is still here, I'm done.

It absolutely is his 'system'. He's a (frank)ing moron that only has one system. I've said it before, he has no clue how to handle talent. He doesn't know how to create or play a system that plays to the players' strengths. Square peg, round hole. I'd love to shove a peg in his (frank)ing eye hole. Stab him in his god damn pea-sized brain. The size of his brain in relation to his skull is directly proportionate to a b-b in a boxcar.
Upstate was right about that article he posted. Zippy's quote was infuriating. "If we thought it was something with the system or the structure, we'd change it". HEY MORON! Your team is losing. How is it not your structure or system? Obviously something isn't working. Try changing it up. Christ, i did that coaching 10-12 year old football.
You were definitely right Upstate. He (frank)ing pissed in my Cheerios.

Talk about over valuing your players. Harmonic wanted a trade. I'm just curious if it was before or after he asked for one.

Capuano is not planning any major changes up front. “If I thought it was something with the system or the structure, we would change it, but the opportunities are there,’’ he said. “It’s like baseball. If you were a .300 hitter for two straight years and all of a sudden you bat .240, you know the potential is there. You just gotta keep working and try to find the way to get back on track.’’
There's the whole thing

I agree. But there would've been a mutiny in the room. So the inmates run the asylum? If you have that opportunity, you have to make that deal. My answer would've been "what are you offering?"
