Uhh, no not true. He was concussed by Eric during the 2010-11 season. They didn't make it out of the first round that year.
- tomburton99

Maybe the fun fact is every year we've made he ECF, Staal happens to get a head injury?

From snyrangersblog.com:
Adam Rotter: Just as the Rangers appear to be getting healthy up front, they are now dealt a big blow on defense. It's hard to replace Staal but Adam Clendening will likely stay in the lineup with a call up possible but not probably since the Rangers don't have any extended road trips coming up.

From the weird coincidence file though, each season where Staal suffers a concussion the Rangers at least get to the Eastern Conference Final.

You're all wrong. Jimbo just said Staal's eye injury happened in the 2013 lockout shortened season. Rangers eliminated by Boston in round 2. It's all wrong.

Good piece here.

It was all down hill for him after that hit by Eric. I still miss Mike Sauer. He had a good career ahead of him and had a little nasty to his game. Anyone know if he is living a normal life yet? I remember reading a year or so ago he was still suffering symptoms from the Phaneuf hit.

Rangers are gonna be right there for first in the conference if they stay healthy

the schedule is much easier than what they had in the first half

they'll have their clunkers every once in awhile, but we have to stop overreacting when those clunkers happen

- jimbro83

thanks for the update -- I'm so out of the loop this year with the craziness that is my job.

He was going to be really good. Reminded me of a young Ulf Samuelson with that edginess to his game; and he was really good on D.

She's gone from attractive, to overweight but attractive to looking like she is coated in bacon grease. I'm looking forward to when her body is indistinguishable from Rush Limbaughs.
