Jan you already know my view of where the Rangers should finish in the standings
- TPC

What if the Habs finish with the best record in the Eastern Conference? Then finishing fourth still gets you the winner of the Metro.

While I am all for playing the odds and going through the Atlantic (as it stands today), there is really no way for the Rangers to try to manipulate this result, unless its in the last week of the season and things appear to be heading that way -- i.e., the Islanders last year.

Rangers are gonna be right there for first in the conference if they stay healthy

the schedule is much easier than what they had in the first half

they'll have their clunkers every once in awhile, but we have to stop overreacting when those clunkers happen

if u watch Cleve. S F or sanAntonio thats 3 teams out of 30 that are
one full step ahead of the others in all phases of the game...
its like N England & the rest of football in East way ahead for many reasons...
I was jet fan still am but cant follow a losing proposition before it even starts

Never really got into the NBA. Find it boring as hell. Now college basketball I like. Was a huge Tarheels fan back in the Smith era.

I am not above trying to manipulate an easier path if that opportunity is available late in the year. But, at this point, you need to win as many hockey games as you can, no ifs, ands or buts about it.

Yeah, I am sure we will stop overreacting to the clunkers.

Well they are right there now without being healthy for a good part of the season. No reason they shouldn't be better once Nash, Zib and Buch are back

The Knicks are a frigign joke.
One guy doesnt like the coach so he goes AWOL (Rose), another guy doesn't like the way the game is going, and is pissed because he didnt think of going AWOL so he purposely gets thrown out of the game (Melo) and then Joakhim Noah is there and nothing more needs to be said about that:

The Knickerbockers have been a disaster almost every year going back to 2001 when Van Gundy left. F them & F baseketball!

I actually really liked it back in the 80s, totally different game then. And you had so many legends, Magic, Kareem & the Show Time Lakers. Bird, McHale & CO w the Celtics. The bad boy Pistons w Rodman before he became a freak. A young Jordan, those were fun days. Once the mid 90s hit I tuned out, like Mr White when Madonna got into her Papa Don't Preach faze.

Didn't you find it a bit odd that the coach kept having you "practice" by running through a corn field backwards with your pants down?

Those jerseys looked like they were produced by a local graphic design business that creates $10 press on jerseys for youth recreational sports programs.

Our coach had nothing to do with the church and two kids on our team were Jewish. It really was just a bunch of friends hanging out and had nothing to do with the church.

Yeah I played in a CYO roller hockey league when I was young and I am a staunch atheist. We had to line up on the redline and say a prayer before every game.

They didn't make us do that. I think most kids in the league were at risk youth, so it ended up being a lot of degenerates. Fights, horrible fouls, etc. More like a prison league.

Funny enough, that roller hockey league was actually outdoors and in a really not-nice neighborhood. It was insanely cheap, something like $70 for 35 games + playoffs, so a lot of the local ghetto kids played there too. We used to practice one night during the week, and every once and awhile the non-hockey-playing local scum would come by and throw stuff on the rink. Eggs mostly, but once they started chucking fluorescent lightbulbs over the boards.
