You know me I have been against signing the Sedins since forever . My biggest issue always was and still is there are two of them. I knew it would come down to unmovable contracts and refusals to split up in the end.

Moving one player is doable , moving 14 mil is impossible . I knew it would come down to this and now it will slow the progress 1 1/2 years.

I like VanGuy never was a fan and shouldn't have to explain not liking them.

They are good players , good role models and excellent community people , but I have always never been a fan of the brothers cycle and pass between themselves game.

They are better role models and community people than they are hockey players now.

They are the best passers on the team? They teed it up for Stecher like 3 times and are surprisingly among the best at puck recovery (despite their lack of speed). Its easy in hindsight to criticize but really they aren't playing any different than they have in the past. I posted a video from the powerplay in their prime as an example and they are still setting up in the same spots feeding the shooters

In Stechers 30 games as a Canuck how many goals has he scored from the point. He has one goal and Canucks entire starategy is to tee it up from the point by a rookie with one goal?

Do you see why fans question the knowledge of this club?

14 Mil on their role modelin 4.5 on Burrows role modeling . That is a lot of moolah to show people how to play when they don't seem to be playing too well themselves.

Someone has to shoot the puck, the Sedins sure the hell aren't.

I know there is quite a few Queen fans on here. Anyone ever heard their original version of We Will Rock You? It's awesome! Very raw and very punkish.

Thats the killer for me. At least now they have Stecher on the point who shoots well, and Sutter floats well into the high slot. Henrik is shooting more, but he doesnt have the power to beat a goalie clean. If a RH shot, maybe BB, can join that weakside they would have more options
- WhiteLie

Agree & yet Hank can score & Dank is a fringe scorer now.
I'm with Taylor on 1040 its time the umbilical cord is cut.
I resign Hank 1yr at a time & no problems shopping Dank.

The best shot on the PP is Sutter and they don't pass to him

It's not just about how to play it's about not wasting all the hot water or not eating all the snacks on the charter flights.

every PP in the league works the point, the rookie just happens to be one of the better shooters and ability to get pucks through on the team. 4 of his 11 points have come on the powerplay...

I really dont know how you want the Canucks to run their powerplay if you dont want the Sedins and you dont want them to feed the point for shots

Make them the 2 PP unit.
Nobody is afraid of them & the results bear that out for a few years.
I see no risk in changing it up.

Yeah you are not going to convince me that a 22 year old kid making 650 k playing in his 30 th game is the reason we lost.

Why did the 20 mil Swede line not score in the first second or third? LE did not even have a shot attempt.

I would try separation first. Like I posted with Bullfrog, if they are each paired with 2 young and fast guys, their playmaking ability could possibly work out.

I had also been thinking a while that might be good to move Henrik to the wing, the responsibility defensively will be tougher as he gets slower

yeah, but you don't wanna mess with some of the other lines (Bo's).
At least not yet.
Wait until we hit another losing skid, then mix and match.

or just wait till Hansen gets back and the problem is solved.

I like Hank in the middle for playmaking.
Give him shooters & all good IMO
Split them up i've said many times.
Dank can play make on his line eg Sutter & ?

I never suggested that was the reason we lost at all. I just commented on your criticism of the Sedin backcheck as being the reason they lost, saying Horvat was fresher and beside the guy on the breakaway. I also said it was a learning moment for the young guys

I also dont know where youre going with the second part? There are underperforming players, and the team's depth is thin... the results arent surprising to me
