Stecher looked horrible on that PP but what the hell were the slow tired Sedins still doing out there. Daniel who was also playing the point made no attempt to get back to the blue line to back up TS in case a puck got blocked . He was at the faceoff circle.

Secondly they are payed big big money to produce offence and now have 5 points combined in 8 games and three of those points were a gift from Sven.

You can point fingers at the fourth liners and the 650K first year Dman ,but the real issue is the twins and Eriksson.

If youre going to criticize the Sedins on the backcheck, Horvat is the freshest and yet the last one to start going. And whats worse is the guy he is standing beside actually blocked the shot and led the rush... Its a learning moment for a young team. Cant really place blame anywhere on that play

It really doesn't matter what happened yesterday in pro sports...how great you were last game means nothing when you lose the next one. I'm talking in the right now...if our goal is improvement and playoffs, then why are the best most productive players taking a backseat to the Sedins legacy?
- Bullfrog77

I agree with you 100% there, they need to start transitioning to the younger guys but WD is trying to win, thus he's using what he knows.

Hopefully it bites him in the ass and they fire him.

This is something that annoys me to no end but it's never addressed by coaching or management. At least publicly.

ON the PK teams clog shooting lanes.
Stecher last man back made it his mistake.
Sedins were no threat on the 1/2 boards.
All in all a pathetic PP set up.
No options but to shoot was available.
Thats what happens when no threat from the Sedins.
Sedins & Stecher combined wear that goal & loss.

Not throwing the kid under the bus its simply a learning experience.
A different PP unit in hindsight would'v been better.

They are the best passers on the team? They teed it up for Stecher like 3 times and are surprisingly among the best at puck recovery (despite their lack of speed). Its easy in hindsight to criticize but really they aren't playing any different than they have in the past. I posted a video from the powerplay in their prime as an example and they are still setting up in the same spots feeding the shooters

Consternates us all for sure.
We r up against 2 contradictory situations...
Playoff push & the Sedin legacy. 1000 pt & future HOFers.
Grin & bear it is what we r faced with sorry to say.

I know there is quite a few Queen fans on here. Anyone ever heard their original version of We Will Rock You? It's awesome! Very raw and very punkish.

They r both still good at puck retrieval i question Danks giveaways & penalties.
Predictable without sniping or goals from D has hurt them.
We need BB & future prospects to help us out & provide dangerous threats on the PP to get better on the PP & keep teams more honest.

You know me I have been against signing the Sedins since forever . My biggest issue always was and still is there are two of them. I knew it would come down to unmovable contracts and refusals to split up in the end.

Moving one player is doable , moving 14 mil is impossible . I knew it would come down to this and now it will slow the progress 1 1/2 years.

I like VanGuy never was a fan and shouldn't have to explain not liking them.

They are good players , good role models and excellent community people , but I have always never been a fan of the brothers cycle and pass between themselves game.

Thats the killer for me. At least now they have Stecher on the point who shoots well, and Sutter floats well into the high slot. Henrik is shooting more, but he doesnt have the power to beat a goalie clean. If a RH shot, maybe BB, can join that weakside they would have more options
