Defensemen (3) - Andy Greene, Damon Severson, Ben Lovejoy.

Trade Parenteau at deadline. Bennett is a 3rd liner, so if they can take advantage of a team and get someone or 2 players, then those would fill their spots. Blandisi, I think also has to be claimed, right?

Claim Moore, he has one less year then Lovejoy.

Also, I would be going hard to try to trade Cam(34 now, and has been healthy this year), Zajac(32 at the end of season), and Greene(34, solid top four guy).

And for goalies, if they traded Schneider(31 in March) then claim Wedgewood, but I doubt they would.

Zacha should have been sent down after game 9... he wasn't generating many shots. This whole year has essentially been a baptism by fire, which screws more players than it helps, so we'll see.

I thought he should of been sent down then, but people thought I was wrong. He showed small signs of what he could do, but wasn't consistent enough. And he was dominating games.

Not only have we wasted a year off his ELC, but when he plays 41 games we'll lose a year off his RFA status.

One of the few dumb decisions Shero has made so far.

According to CapFriendly, Blandisi is exempt (I don't think he met the games required mark). I could see protecting Moore if he is in the long term plans, since I find it unlikely Vegas would take Lovejoy anyway.

Keeping Zacha had to happen playing in juniors will not help him grow hopefully in the second half of the season hynes realizes the playoffs are gone and lets him log some top 6 minutes

Palmieri contract isn't bad this team is just terrible this season the spend 80% of a game trying to get the puck out of their zone so I wouldn't look at his points

Well, yes and no. Defensive zone is our biggest issue, but our PP is a close 2nd. We finished, what, 9th last year? Palmieri was a big part of that (11 goals, 23 points). So those two things are big contributors to his low numbers.

Let's face it: few bottom five teams only have one or two problems to solve. We're no different.
