And "big boned'" as well...
I do love that Russell Peters joke about his Jamaican friend and the big boned' girl. Good stuff. |

why the frank would LA want to be hampered by an underperforming player like Ryan who's signed long term?

bc they get unhampered by two worse players + contracts ryan would pot 22-25 with Carter; brown and gaborik wouldnt get that in 160 games |

Ryan pretty much has the worst contract in the league. Lazar is worthless. L.Brown isn’t worth much after being cut from an amateur team. Ceci isn’t very good and not worth much. Beauchimen has a full NMC. D.Brown has an 8-team trade list.
But other than those problems, seems legit. |

I have a hard time with this one. I think all 3 teams could do better than what they get here for what they give up. Except Ottawa, they move everything they don't want (aside the 1st) for Landeskog |

Ryan has played horribly considering his skill set - from chemistry to Turris to not finishing....14pt in 33gp still. Saying he's worst contract, debatable......fair point
But don't know too many GMs that want Brown+Gaborik at almost $11m rather than Ryan at 7.25m. The move allows Kings to get a rental and frees up future cap space.
Ceci isn't very good? lol. He's had a poor 1st half but is playing better (led the Sens in Ice time ahead of Karlsson last game). Lazar has been mismanaged, could be a solid 3rd liner; shame bc he was much like D.Brown.
Good points on the contracts |

Ceci is a strong asset still. I don't want to "give him up".
6 months ago if you said Lazar, Ceci, 1st for Landeskog you would have been crazy. These young players are in slumps or have been mismanaged...
these deals are fantasy though and the Avs should get good return. I just see a deal being made btw these teams (2 team deal) - even if its a guy like Iginla. Trades are hard to predict (let alone make) so we'll see what happens. |

Lazar isnt in a slump, he is what he is, and thats a bottom 6 NHL player if that.
Ceci isnt in a slump, he is what he is, a 3rd pairing Dman who the potential to figure it out to be a 2nd pairing Dman.
Stop over selling these guys, they stink, case close |

Random thought, but is watching American hockey broadcast as bad as watching Canadian football coverage?
