Good lord man.
Stay out of management...your ability to motivate people with positive outlook is just too strong, you will kill employees from over exuberance.

- IonSabres

He's not wrong but in all honesty, Reinhart should be putting up Tarasenko-like numbers.

This reminds me of his asinine comment about how if we just had 1 more win a month we could have made it last year.

Way to break it down so it sounds like we were oh so close

- sbroads24

So if Eichel played in the first 20 games you don't think they could have won 3 more?

If you don't then Eichel isn't as good as we all hope

Ok....try and show it here on occasion.

What he said was factually true...one more win a month over 6-1/2 months is 13 points more added to 82 that actually earned. 95 is the goal.
Give players and coaches something to shoot for...little chunks, 1 more win per month should be an acceptable goal for them to buy into.
Motivation, realistic goals. Something easy to digest.

In all fairness, I said he should be "closer" to the guys that were bolded in that post.

I never said flat out he should be producing like Tarasenko.

My point was he was drafted as a guy that should be in the same breathe as those.

Right and he isn't 100%

The team was playing well in the pre season (yes so was Derek Grant I know I know)

But if Eichel doesn't get hurt he comes out of the gate flying.

Those 1 goal games we lost I bet I could find at least 2 more wins in there with having 3 games in hand 1 win gets the in the playoff spot...

Sure, we weren't the only team with an injury.

How many more wins does FLA have with Huberdeau and Bjugstad from day 1?

How many more does Tampa have with Stamkos, Kucherov, and Stralman all missing time?

Does Chara give Boston 1 more win in the time he missed?

The idea injuries only effected us in the division is just not true

no doubt we'd be closer especially with some of those losses coming against easier teams. the way he said it just sounds like he was saying there's nothing really wrong with this team it was just injuries.

Sure, and the Bills were 1 more win every month away from a playoff birth.

It sounds so easy when broken down like that

Murray basically said Eichel getting hurt killed them out of the gates.

Tampa had Stamkos Kucherov and Stralman to start the year.

Chara gives Boston more wins by not playing.

Florida is in the same boat with Buffalo.

The putrid 2.01 goals per game without Eichel wouldn't have happened.

Except the Sabres play about 10-13 games a month and the Bills play 4 a month...

To be fair Marcus has played pretty well this year.

He also wasn't as highly touted as Nick considering Nick was a 1st rounder and Marcus a 5th rounder

There were times he was trying to be more than he is, he tried turning into this finesse goal scorer when he got off to that hot start instead of sticking with what got him here.

Then the injuries started piling up. I think this is the first year he's been completely healthy in a long long time and I like what I see from him.
