No, I do not think they should protect MacDonald. Right now, I'd protect Gostisbehere and Gudas. The 3rd spot is up in the air.

Even though the Flyers heavily won the shot attempt possession battle, largely in part to score effects in the 3rd period, I thought that Buffalo's checking and strong team defense set the tone for this game. They gave the Flyers very few quality chances, despite a lot of shot attempts. The Flyers never really established a sustained forecheck throughout the game.
