I can't quote today, but that classic Blues third with the trumpets, that didn't see the ice, was before its time. I could see a team throwing something like that on for the laughs. Win a few games and it's your favourite uni. I could easily see the Hawks core getting behind an ugly jersey like that.
As for why there aren't third jerseys next year. It's 100% for jersey sales. Some people who might have only bought a third next year will buy a home jersey and when the alternates come out they might buy one of those too. |

Not Sens fan (quite the opposite) but I live in that city, and can tell you that the love for the barber pole jersey runs very deep. I'd be shocked if that jersey gets red-lined. Also shows that what others out of a market think of a jersey, may not be the case at all with the home team (ie you're out of touch Ek) |

I'm a fan of the third jerseys that are throwbacks like the baby blue Pens. I also really like the Edmonton orange and Coyotes dark Red/Maroon jerseys. Both are simple. That said, there are soooo many putrid 3rds out there. |
