I'm becoming less and less sold on Timmy, he actually was just demoted off of his SHL team and really hasn't shown any offense.

Patrick is an obvious, and I like Vilardi a lot and he scores goals. Hischier obviously is raising his stock.

If we go defensemen I like Valimaki. Big, smooth skating, offensive minded. Exactly what the Devils defense is missing.

We have enough defensively responsible centers and offensively inept defenders in the league. Need a goal scoring center or puck moving D, IMO.

It's definitely a need. It's just that both Patrick and Vilardi have serious offensive skills and are right handed centers. Would love to see one feeding Hall sooner rather than later.

Of course to your point, we need to get the puck out of our own end first.

I think he's been sound and probably won't go lback down again. I missed the first tonight, but I need to give credit and say past few games merrill has been better.

Islanders 38, Buffalo and Detroit with 39. I think NY, Buf and Det could all play better and finish ahead of us, definitely Buffalo.

They get the same chance as the 3rd worst team in the lottery. I'm not sure what happens if neither of those two teams get into the lottery though. We should have a solid shot at the lottery but God knows why the NHL would give it to us.

No one will get fired till next year. I have become convinced management is silently allowing this team to improve its draft odds one loss at a time. And considering the needs of the club and the relative lack of top end prospects, I can't really blame them.

wait til you see what defensemen go for at the deadline. Kris Russel went for more and he was a rental. Lovejoy's a RHS with a ring playing a lot of hard minutes on a bad team. There will definitely be suitors.

Agreed. But the team overachieved last year and I don't think management wants to go the scorched Earth route that Toronto, Buffalo and Edmonton took.
