I grill mine as well.
turn the heat up, close the cover leaving it open about an inch...rattle it a bit to keep the flame on it...turn it over.
drinking Bourbon as I'm doing it...freezing or not.

Must say though, I would like to try the suggested method...might have to try it.

I'm with you. Also I put in either green beans or asparagus in tin foil with salt, pepper, butter, and minced garlic. I guess the grill is just my favorite medium.

Grilled asparagus is great. We like to parboil brussel sprouts and finish those on the grill, too.

That's the way to do it but its pretty tricky to maintain and keep consistent temps
- Stripes77

Can't do it in winter. Too cold.

well, i do like the charcoal...but not the time it takes to get it hot enough...although, it could provide more Bourbon time.

Anybody know if there are any good college free agents that will be available? Our track record would seem to pretty good at signing those guys.
- adambuffalo

Did a little digging and found an article from last summer about this year's undrafted college free agents that will be available this March. It looks like the two best are both smaller RWs. Nick Schilkey from Ohio St and Justin Kloos from Minnesota. Both are seniors and are the Captains of their respective teams for the second year in a row. Kloos was a teammate of Hudson Fasching. Could see him as a target for the Sabres. Everyone else on the short list was playing in the KHL.

Calle Rosen, Eric Martinsson, Nils Andersson are pretty good D options out of the SHL.

Young, cost effective bottom pairing guys they could look into.

according to this thread, if we were all real world friends, we'd be eating, drinking, and talking buffalo sports like the Gods.

I never do predictions, but will make an exception for tonight's game. 5-2 Sabres. Okposo, Gionta and Eichel with a hatty in his 100th game.

Thornton looking for three year deal, and undoubtedly Buffalo probably isn't on his radar, but...
With Gio, Franson, Dlo maybe Girgs and Gorges coming off. Would you try to blow his socks off with a 3year/6mil per deal? It would have to be a massive deal to have him even consider. That would give us Top-10 center depth

I have one, Mr. Weber. It's great for hots, sausages, hamburgers, chicken, pork chops, lamb chops, fish, chopped veggies, slices of fruit, and anything else I want to (frank) around with.

But when it comes to a steak, and I'm getting into some serious science, it goes in the oven.

I just cooked up some nice think beef tenderloin steaks last weekend and Americas Test Kitchen says to sear them 3 min per side in the skillet, then into the oven for 4-6 mi utes, depending on how well you want it done. Simply magnificent.

I get it. I'm a very good cook. I just can't see not grilling a steak. To each their own. My bad.
- Khmylev

I have a Vermont castings BBQ which I use all the time. But last weekend the snow and ice was too deep and the wind was crazy. Hard to get the perfect temperature in those conditions. You should try the skillet and oven way just to compare as they are different. I can't say one is better than the other but I will say that my father in law gave me poop for not frying them in butter but in oil like the recipe called for. Any ways, chacun son gout.

Murray was mocking him earlier today, he said something along the lines of " I do more work in 2 F*****G hours than he does in half a season" I didn't know he was that deep in the doghouse.
- Flynox

Just curious, but if he hated grants work ethic/ability so much, why did he wait sooooo long to cut him?
And we're you just at practice or are you someone in the know?

Well obviously otherwise we wouldn't disagree

im tired and under caffeinated so im probably not getting my point across the way id like to so ill try and simplify.

We overpaid for players that good rebuilding teams get without overpaying for. That leaves them enough assets/cap space to overpay for in critical areas, such as a top pairing d-man.

- Sabresfan-365

What players that were on the roster are better than O'Reilly and Kane? Since being picked up ("overpaid/rushed" for), they've been the most productive of any forwards not named Reinhart or Eichel.

This team had no great skill players - they definitely didn't send any out (proven guys).

Was the team supposed to be carried/mentored by Gionta? I'm not a hater on him, but he can't compare to what O'Reilly appears to bring to the roster, and Kane came in and outscored all the veteran forwards in only 65 GP.

Pretty sure there were lots of people female doging over the last few years that this team can't be full of young guys, like Edmonton, and bringing in some vets that have outproduced all of the other roster players the team had seems like an improvement to me, rather than waiting years to see what 20-30th pick players might turn into.
