For the record...the only* trade I care for the Flyers to make is one that takes advantage of their position for the expansion draft

*excludes andrew macdonald trade for obvious reasons

Turd twin 1 + 2 scored yesterday and tonight.

Need to keep the consistency going. G and V can't do it all.

There are always controversial calls/non-calls. Blaming the refs for the loss is misguided.

That said, challenges and video review are ruining the game.

Offset by all the great things the WCOH is doing for the game. Net neutral

Eh, the refs screwing the flyers is usually overblown by the fan base, but last night they were terrible.

Tough to say what would have happened if the first goal counted as it should have though.

Fourth lines don't score much. Check out the Chicago names there don't think many have issues with those guys.

Re OT:
Dale Useless Weiss should be glued to the bench during OT

G, Jake, Ghost
Schenn, Simmonds, Provorov
Coots, TK, MDZ

Period, end of story

- BiggE

I can get Hak not trusting TK. Still no excuse for Weise being out there, should have been Read imo.

Combined with this:

and this:

What exactly do they bring to the table? But let's all complain about Coots, and trade Ghost+ for a 2C

I dont think there was a good enough reason not to trust him...but whatever. He may have just been sending players out to not lose until G/Jake got back out there. Either way I think he would be rewarded by trusting him more.

I personally dont want to move Coots or Ghost unless its to get a guaranteed obvious upgrade. Im not willing to trade either player because they are having a less productive season the previous seasons.

To me both are part of the solution over the next 1-3 years.

I dont think anyone thought we were making a cup run this season , 2 or 3 years from now when a substantial number of prospects should be here is a different story.
To me I would rather the prospects get here, see what you have and adjust to what you dont have then.

It is pretty obvious that the Flyers coaches and possibly organization as a whole care less about shot attempts for/against than we do. It doesn't seem to be consistent across all players though, which is frustrating.

I'd definitely put TK out there. It does seem as though Hak wants to win with G-Jake-Ghost out there, and the rest of OT is just weathering the storm while they're resting.

With their track record in shootouts, I don't agree with it. Should be all out for the entire OT trying to win then imo.

Chicago's bottom 6 has been a mess for years. Players constantly in and out. They also basically set Kruger up to get teed off on (think PEB line when coots was injured).

4th lines can score though

Their talent evaluation at the NHL-level is a concern of mine at the moment. Between Umberger, Gordon, and Weise it hasn't gone well so far.

That being said, I still like Weise even though he hasn't played as well as one would hope. But 4 years

This off-season may tell quite a bit with what they do with PEB and VDV.

He was for the first period...rest of the game he was fine.

Aside: That being the first game where the new lines played on the road, I thought they were fairly balanced.

If everything goes according to plan...Hexy will have too many prospects and will be unable to sign any poopty UFAs saving himself from himself

It's tough to tell which is a bigger need between 1LW or 2C, but I think if we had a legit 1LW with a score first mentality on a line with Jake and G it could make some serious noise in the NHL. I mean the two of them as a duo were one of the best in the league, it would be scary to add a legit scoring threat with them. We don't need him (Shatty) but he could be a solid veteran dman for the now and near future with Schultz, Streit, and even MDZ coming off the books. I know our prospects look great, but you never know if they will live up to their potential in the NHL whereas Shatty is well-established.
- arichardson22

I don't think it's tough to tell at all. Strengthening lines 2, 3, and 4 is far more important than adding a 1st line winger. Raffl is fine in that spot in my opinion. Now they could add another player to put in that spot, and use Raffl to help in strengthening the lower lines, but I wouldn't bring in a big cap hit player for that spot.
