Middle of the pack at the moment, but 16 of 18 teams make the playoffs
- Feanor

They are the worst scoring team in the Q though. He'll fit right in.

But seriously, they have Roy and Zhukenov, who are both good players, then Allard on the back end. But they are a pretty weak team after that. Adding Rubtsov is so big for them. Hopefully he gets attached at the hip to Roy, even if at wing.

I'm not don't worry. I've moved on from coprophagia to cannibalism. But I only eat toes! I want to be extra clear about that so you don't get the wrong impression.

The AHL moves have been a little obvious...basically just signed career AAAA players, but I do like that he wants to win in the AHL.

Prospects are just awesome. I love it. What he has done to the prospect pool is incredible. All without tanking too

I'm not here to bash the guy, as I think he's a good GM for the cap era. His drafts have been home runs. Trades have been generally good. The MDZ signing, he basically lucked into that one; perfect storm. Neuvirth came in and played some of the best hockey of his life last year to start. After that, his UFA moves have been solid with a few hits and a few misses. Nothing Earth-shattering either way.

This bird represents what should happen to Boyd Gordon if he tries to show up to the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday

Boyd Gordon attempting to gain the offensive blue line

Edit: He should take some tips from Joey Porter on how to get inside of the WFC. I hear that dude's a pro at getting into places.

At some point, there has to be some realization that not all players are consistent play drivers, who stand out game to game. Some players are just support offensive players who put up solid point totals, play well on the PP, and are just average otherwise. There is room for those kind of players on a team. 20+ goal and 50 point scorers don't grow on trees.
- MJL

Schenn has been a consistent 20 goal scorer. On a pace for around 25 this year. People call for a sniper not caring about two way play but yet female dog about a guy who consistently has brought 20 plus goals. I don't get it

Because power plays goals don't count, apparently.

How does Provorov even skate with AMac on his back all the time?
- Baxter27

I was kidding around on twitter yesterday during the game about Provorov being better than Werenski because Werenski skates with Jones whereas Provorov skates with AMAC. Seriously tho Columbus has built a nice defense there.

Best Twitter post I saw was someone who wanted to put the Leroy Jenkins soundclip over top of Voracek's too many men penalty.

I'm not sure 20-25 goals is a "sniper," but I'm also not one to complain about the need for a "sniper." Also, a high % of his goals are scored from in tight, and he doesn't shoot the puck a lot. He scores more like a power forward....if I'm assigning arbitrary labels lol

Out of players with 100 minutes played, Schenn is 18th on the team in 5v5 goals, ahead of only Bellemare, Weise, and Schultz. He's outstanding in his role on the PP, but that isn't good.

Every GM including Homer in the past sign career AHL players. seems like Hextall has signed players who fit well along with the kids coming along. the right mix. I was at the game Saturday and I can tell you the Phantoms were a very quick and fast team. far more so than Albany. and don't underestimate the how much the defense and goaltending has helped them get to being a playoff team. I was highly impressed with the Sanheim and Morin pairing. Hagg played well. Lyon was very good in net and they have Stolie.

Schenn needs to play more of a north-south game. He's gotta get more pucks to the net.

He needs to play his game.
He needs to be up on his skates.
He needs to bring his lunchpail to work.
He needs to give 110%.

Edit: Yes, above.

Aside from him being high, all I can think was someone (Hak???) said, "poop, we only have 4 guys, someone go," and Jake went. Because there was no one within 30 feet of the bench.

not calling him a sniper because he is not. Just saying people want a player who can score, all around game be damned. well Schenn is a guy who you can pretty much put 20 plus goals next to his name every season. I am good with that
