Tying your laces tightly instead of loosely is part of player success then.. What is your point? Calgary and Vancouver are not evenly tilted by any means. By points? maybe. Look at the underlying stats. Look at PP%. Look at Corsi (bring on the hate). Look at +/- (bring on the hate x2). Look at all the possession numbers, PK numbers, individual stats of players. In almost every category the league holds stats for, the Canucks rank in the bottom 10. I just want you to see that while the team has faced injuries, WD has had some WTF moments, Benning has had some WTF moments, this team is STILL bad and are NOT good like you think they are.

The stats are not good. Unless you like facoffs. NEVER said in ANY post, here or before, that the team is good, It's NOT A Good team. If I had you would have bolded and pasted it. If you want to say they are bad that's your right. But thanks for the ribbing this team has enough challenges as it is then taking shots at it

Okay. But he provided something there. So is Edler your guy to fill that in if not Tree? Or is Stecher the one to produce more? I won't mention Sbisa even though he's been producing more then ever.

Trade idea:

Tanev (edler if we could) and Hansen for druin, filpula, 1st

Lighting get a top 4 they need and get rid of the bad filpula contract (only one more year after this year + you could expose him as an option)

We get a young core player in druin and a potentially decent first. Sucks to lose Hansen but for this deal...

Ottawa may need a goalie, Andersons wife is quite sick, so maybe miller when we drop down in standings. I would take Lazar or Nick Paul back in return.

I know that being rich and partying has a high probability of leading to hard drug use but it would really be a big assumption to say JV has a potential cocaine problem, especially given that we've also been discussing him being overweight... Perhaps people are over-sensitive to this stuff after Kassian?

Cool idea, but Drouin and Filppula are 3rd and 4th in team scoring (and thats including Drouin missing time for injury). If they are trying to ditch contracts and bodies in preparation for the expansion draft, they could do so without hurting their chances this season
