Yeah, because he fired a guy who's been doing the job for 60 years to put his guy in it. So much for draining the swamp. He's doing literally the exact opposite.

Ennis might be more desirable to them because his actual salary over the next 2 years is cheaper than his cap hit.
- Sabresfan-365

I did a Expansion draft at capfriendly today, Ennis was my prediction for the Knights.

Anytime Trump does something people do nothing but complain, I'm still waiting to see the line out of the country from all the people that said they are moving out if he became President. Funny I don't see any lines going into Mexico or Canada.

Well, to be fair, you live in Las Vegas, so how could you see the lines?

Seriously though the guy was in the "job" he didn't get paid since Eisenhower, and Trump was worried about his political affiliations. Nobody else had those worries. Eisenhower was a Republican, and there were one or two others sprinkled in there too since. And you'd think he's got better poop to think about than who the parade announcer is at his inauguration. Maybe that's why he doesn't get daily intel briefings. lol

You know what, I shouldn't have responded to it and you shouldn't have posted it, all crap like that does it cause problems. Just let it go and move on to something else.

I don't think there are any transfer agreements in place. Why? Who are you looking at?

3 guys

Nils Andersson has a contract that runs through 17-18. Was wondering if there was a way to buy it out. I think there's nhl upside there even outside of his point totals.

Arvid Lundberg looks really good as well.

Zamorsky was in NA at one point. Rangers released him 2 years ago I think? Sometimes guys from europe make the jump to early he might be worth looking at as well.

I'm not entirely sure. I know there is/was one with Russia, but I don't think there's an official one with the rest of Europe, but there might be a wink and a nod agreement going on.

Lol someone edited Laine's Wikipedia page, apparently he died yesterday.

It happened so much they actually locked his page so no one can edit it.

I can't imagine it would be even close to even what a league minimum deal would be in the NHL. Also, how old are those guys? Because they could fall under ELC rules too.

I think the guys he was talking about are probably in the 24-30 year old range.

The Leafs tried to do this in the past, recruiting 28 year old Rickard Wallin (top scorer on Farjestads BK) but the dude only put up 9 points in 60 games.

The point is, the NHL is a tougher league & its hard to count on the translation of production over from the SEL to the NHL.

However, the Leafs also imported Gustavsson from the same team and he still has an NHL job

(This was back in 08-09)

10 years ago, undrafted Fabian Brunnstrom (21) also had a great season in the SEL and joined the Dallas Stars (debuted with a hat trick) the year after. I think he only lasted one year in the NHL before being sent down and never being able to make it back up to the NHL

I think its great though to have a look at Euro players though that the original poster mentioned. Free sources of talent if you can get them (no draft picks used for free potential!).

Hardly does it ever pay off though. Other cases though, it does - I think its working with Zaitsev and boy is Chicago lucky with Panarin!

edit: it appears Lundberg is 22

I miss those old Jedi mind tricks Darcy Regier used to unload some junk for good players. Say what you will about him, he had a talent at doing it.

Fedun has played in 11 games this season - Buffalo has gotten points in 8 of those 11 games (6 wins).

I would take Ryan.

Ryan (25% retained) for Bogosian and a pick.

The salary is easy enough to get over (with a bunch retained obviously), but that term....
