that kid played very well tonight...forecheck and backcheck and then gets rewarded with hattie in the 3rd

he and his mates kero and #Richardpanik were very good tonight...and so were the posts around crawford...

good point on the posts -- they can be a goalie's best friend some nights. Nashville hit three in just the third period. Hawks continue to give up too many prime scoring chances.

Hopefully Back on track! Sweep Tuesday!
Ok on another note, Trade talk, Anyone hearing the name Jamie McGinn? Any truth or is that just another drunk in beer fart rumor? I'd rather have him, given his age vs.Vanek . ?????

Hi John and thank you again for all the work you do for us. One question are the Hawks at least kicking the tires on Gabriel Landeskog?

I have not heard that recently, but the rumor market has been very quiet this season so it is possible—I'm just not hearing it. And thank you.

I've always had a theory that if the other team is hitting lots of posts, yeah, you're probably lucky, but it also can mean your goalie is well-positioned most of the time (a CC strength) and the space he is giving opponents to shoot at is so compromised that they tend to hit more posts (or miss the net entirely). I think over time, in an aggregate sense, that's true

this is all sounds and feels so good...if so why not take 4 mil per for 2 years and help the team more...

alot can happen in 2 years...he is a great player and sniper and deserves everything he gets...

Face it. If Panarin played hard-ball and went STRICTLY after the money, he could have waited until this summer and almost certainly been offered 7.5 per year on a qualifying offer (Blues definitely might have done such a thing).

He took a little less for reasons OUTSIDE of money. Hard for some to believe, but good on him.

As for your question on why not take 4 million....well, I guess you COULD say why not take 1 million or why not take 800k.

It is REAL $$ dude. Would YOU part ways with 3-4 million a year???? No, I think the fact he inked early for 6 million is a credit to him to strike a deal that BOTH sides could live with.

Good on him!!!!!!!
