Well that was one ugly goal...and I'm not convinced it was good.

But I'll take it.

Lavy has no business crying - their 2nd goal came off a very questionable icing call. In fact, the last 3 icing calls all should have been waived off.

however hartmann may have batted that in with his glove...however no video evidence that the puck went in after the net came off...

Wow, how can a guy like Panik, stick handle the puck between his legs and then shoot it from there but have "hands of stone" some many other times?

It's taking that puck off the boards he really struggles with, do agree that was a skilled play to put the puck on net

well (frank) that...the hawks eke out another 1 goal game...

the difference between winning and losing in this league is razor thin....

Hartman with the garbage hat trick...

That was very funny.. Never seen that one before. One second he's down on the ice after diving to block a shot with his head....the next second he's got a hat trick.

Crazy game. I was out of my mind there for a while because of those refs. Damn them. Then finally got to me. But hey we won, and despite STILL not playing our best, we yet again pick up 2 pts to remain comfortably in first place. This team has Cup potential, i think even the biggest doubters know that at this point. Just gotta get 100% healthy, stay healthy, add another piece at forward, and save our best hockey for the playoff run.

The thing about the Minnesota games in hand - they have to win them to turn them into their advantage. I would rather win games now.

Good game by the team , thought every one played good (except a couple miscues by Kemp). Especially Kero Hartman Panic line. Fourth line did a great job too.

Another good article on Panarin's contract signing and his motivations. Love this kid. You guys who think Kane and Toews were selfish and, as such, killed the team's ability to compete in the future will really love this quote:

Panarin told Milstein: "Chicago's pressed against the salary cap. I don't want to be that guy. I want to play on a winning team.

"Give them the flexibility so they can retain the guys or sign the new guys because it's not about me. I'm young. I'm going to make plenty of money in my future.

"I just want to make sure the team overall is going to be in good shape."

Agree 100% PDX......love this part of the article too......

"We're not going to wait until July 1 of 2019 to start negotiating or testing the markets," Milstein (his new agent) said. "Chicago is a great town and he hopes to have his entire career in the city, and hopefully win the Stanley Cup in the short term and someday seeing his jersey up in the rafters."

Our favorite Russian seems to get it for sure.

They all count...I just got a kick out of the 2 EN goals for the hatty. Don't think I've ever seen that, although I'm sure it's happened over the years.

Kudos to the Hawks... Ugly or not, they keep churning out point. It's like an old steam locomotive just keeps chugging along until playoff time and than"full steam ahead".

I am still not sure about Toews physical condition... Back injuries are never good. I just hope that his back problem is not similar to Bolland's
