Cool. Lets build a team of strong d-first guys that cant score for poop. Sleep aids for everyone.

The Flyers damn well need a more offensively gifted forward that can drive play.

Who said anything about building a team of strong defense first guys that can't score?

Who needs a 20 goal, 50 point winger! Just another warm body!
- MJL

Please son. You are an unreliable source on anything Flyers.

Nothing personal, but everything is unicorns and rainbows even if they lose 15 in a row.

Makes you unreliable. My mood swings as the team goes.

I know you disagree, but I just think Schenn is a better fit at ES on the wing and that playing on his offside with a RH shooter like G in the middle could, along with Raffl doing the dirty work along the wall, make for a very effective line
- BiggE

I don't care where Schenn plays, just so long as he's in the top six. I don't view any of our centers as world beaters right now.

So I'm incorrect in stating that Schenn is a 20 goal 50 point winger? Everything with you is negativity, second only to another poster. What does that have to do with what Schenn is, as a player?

He needs to be in a top 6 role, and with a guy that can help get him the puck. Schenn isn't going to consistently drive play himself.

Its unfortunate but there are too many guys on this team like that. I think Schenn has value, but I am not sure if he is a right fit for this club. Who knows.

Nahh man, I am more middle ground. You are just insanely one sided in terms of everything being good all the time. Makes it seem kind of troll-ish.

Anyway...

How many players do most teams have that consistently drive play, among forwards?

Absolutely, whether anyone likes the lines or not.
- MJL

Hastol juggled the lines before the Ducks game and we went on to out shoot them. That was two games ago. The Ducks, Sharks, Blues and Rangers are good teams. A Raffl, Read and Giroux combination isn't along term solution. It's a waste of time.

We just got healthy Sunday and had positive results two games ago.

I'm sorry, I can't stand Hakstol. He's better than Berube but this new desperate attempt to get the offense going isn't going to work either.

You're no where near middle ground. In fact, you do most of your posting, and complaining about players when the Flyers are on a losing streak. I'm objective, and unbiased. I'd rather talk about the players, than a poster.

Thats true, I find it easier to talk about how to improve a club instead of basically saying "good job". Thats a conversation that ends quickly.

My dream is to one day be able to have a lawn that is so good, that when neighbour kids step on it I can get angry because they left their footprints in the grass. I get angry when people take my unassigned parking spot at work.

Your insinuation of my position on the state of the team, is completely inaccurate.

I dont have a problem with Hak making changes, hell that is what a coach is there for among other things..i have a problem in the combinations he seems to have come up with.. I just dont like TK and Jake with Coots. Maybe it gets TK and Coots going so im willing to give it a few games but on paper its ugh..

It will get them going, but its going to leave the Giroux line basically useless for any extended stretch. I get what he is doing, he is trying to spread the wealth.

I think its time to admit the bottom 6 is a lost cause. Stack your top two lines, have a 3rd line that is at least somewhat safe to put out there and so be it.

So tell me these lines aren't a waste of time. The Ducks game came with positive results. We got Matt Read back. Sean Couturier returned one game before. Have the last lines had time to settle in?

I guess we should wonder why an NHL coach doesn't understand that the lines he put together for the game, if that's what they're going to be, is a waste of time? I guess he is incompetent.

I don't understand how we can have a good game against the Ducks but then he makes changes after that. Lyubimov for the faceoff wizard Boyd Gordon?
