I know theres certain laws for using live bait.. each zone is different but yeah check your regulations for sure.. we used to use 10" suckers for musky fishing and i know thats illegal now... There need to be better management of our fisheries, Nipissing is devastated.

Well..

I'm not saying they all do it or than any other than a few.. but the natives cleaned er out man... i live on reservation just outside of north bay right on the lake.. and there are 2 gill nets washed up on shore at my place. i guess what happened is that the nets werent getting tied down properly and were drifting around the lake catching all the fish. Or the ice came and froze them making them impossible to retrieve. It's a really heated issue here. Some dude who runs an ice fishing charter on Nosbonsing (20 mins away) made an ad for his business to rent out shacks and said if you have a status card you'll be refused.. It made national headlines.

I never understood why Burke didn't at least protect it considering they were a poop team and hadn't made the playoffs in how long? Jethus Cwithe!!!

So this is the question, do they trade the vets?and try to get a young dman or picks. ,prospects? Trading away picks is a bad idea.. We are going to need guys on ELC's in the future to lessen the cap hit. Draft, develop, but rarely trade. That needs to be the model and im sure it is. This core needs to grow and build that identity.

Meh. I agree with getting value for JVR, but that's alot to give up. Brayden Schenn was also one of the best prospects not playing in the NHL out of junior comparing to Tkachuk and he has been ok. Not worth two firsts IMO so right now, it's a big risk.

So would Leafs...no way Calgary does this.
You get a top line potential rookie winger and top pairing 23 yr old dman....it's a complete no brainer...Leafs would be ecstatic to find those two player with their first and way more likely they don't.

Add those two to our lineup and we aren't finishing bottom half in next couple years anyhow....and even if we did,would still be well worth it.

No chance Calgary makes that trade.

Probably, but I don't think JVR / Carrick and 2 1st rounders get you Hamilton and Tkachuk. I doubt I'd do it if I was Calgary. Gave up 3 pics for Hamilton and Tkachuk is a high 1st rounder who seems to be having a good year.

Same problem in my beloved Temagami area.

I fished Red Cedar a few summers back, and the fcuking slot size was 16 3/4" too 24 1/4". 8" inch slot size that you weren't allowed to keep. Ridiculous.
