Glad to see neuvy is getting the start tomorrow. It'll be nice to see him thrown to the wolves and blamed by some for every goal that goes in.

I forget where I read it, but I saw somewhere an NHL team with a regular season winning streak of 10 games or more has never missed the playoffs.

Not particularly. The Maroon hat trick last night did. On his way to 30 goals. Danny Syvret playing for the Ice Tigers in Germany. Who is the architect of that wonderful transaction?

I still can't believe the Flyers were unwilling to wait the 6 years needed for his development
- PhillySportsGuy

You talking about Pat Maroon?

You mean the guy that got into a physical altercation with the Phantoms's coach and was subsequently traded? I wonder why he got traded. Must be incompetence!

Imagine being so committed to a bit that you have to complain about the former GM trading a player 6 years ago with a career high of 34 points

He wouldn't conform to the goon they were trying to mold him into.

I don't know, I don't see Matt Read and Michael Raffl making Giroux better or the other way around. Regardless of production, G and Jake just work. They generate offense.

Nick Cousins, Chris Vandevelde, what are these guys suppose to be? Roman Lyubimov after a couple scratches breathes life on whatever line he plays on. Same could be said for Travis Konecny. Konecny is a big loss to Schenn and Simmonds because I don't see Cousins doing a better job with them.

The only positive I see from the line juggling is the Couturier, Konecny and Voracek line. Boyd Gordon, I don't know why Hakstol entertains this guy by allowing him to think he has a place here over anyone.

Guy emptied 3 mags into random people at a baggage claim.

The world is a horrible place nowadays.

Not sure about these lines...

Really isnt much going on with that first line..
2 of the faster skaters on the team with Coots.
Really the only player that brings it every game on the 3 line.
No change to the untouchables

This tells me Hak is trying to change things up because he sees we are struggling and also calls out that we really dont have much depth.

Can I at least assume that we can all agree, that the Flyers suck?

Over their last 8 games or so.....

Dale Weise, Another bad move by Hextall. We hear so much about Hexy being a good gm but he's made some bad moves to go along with some good contract dump off's. Weise and trading Hartnell were bad, bad, bad ones.

I'm not one who thinks certain players should be untouchable. Giroux,Voracek,Simmonds or young defenseman. If you can improve the talent by trading any of the above, I do it. Simmonds is more valuable to this team then Giroux or Voracek,Plus I think he's make a good captain.

To Boyer83:

Let's see a 19 year old kid who is in the top 10 in scoring and probably is out 15 points cause some of our team can't finish/shoot at a clip above 10%.

Never once seen the kid take a shift off, always hustles, and see him collect crappy passes into his skates and still controls puck.

Your analysis of this kid my friend I think is way off!

Negatory Surfer- I never said he didn't have the skills. He got wheels for days and looks like a future perennial all-pro. I'm saying that his mind isn't as quick as his hands and feet are. He'll wheel around the offensive zone almost like Forsberg but he won't be able to find the pass he needs. He's consistently got guys on his line open, due to his own stick-handling, but can't figure out the right pass to make. He's gonna get there eventually, but right now he's mentally swimming. How many points does he have over his last 20 games? My assessment is correct.
