Bill,
Is there anyone from the WJC that has really drawn some attention that wasn't previously there in regards to some draft eligible players? |

Yeah, it's unfair to point to Gwar's numbers at face value and make an assessment. Calgary is a black hole. Bean coming back will help as much as it can. But, personally, I didn't like the pick that much, and he's low ceiling anyway. Scoring just won't be prevalent in his NHL future.
He's a guy that I do wonder if they'll give him a pro contract or have him play another year in Calgary. He's a 97, so he's AHL eligible. But depending on the shape of the Phantoms and given his junior career, maybe another year in the Dub would be better. - Mononoke
The top scoring team has twice as many goals as them. |

Thanks again Bill for the write up on the WJ'rs. It's a hockey tournament that never leaves me disappointed. Obviously I hoped for Canada, but was just thrilled by all 4 games on Wednesday and Thursday. A lot of fun to watch some of the future Flyers play at such a show case. Agreed with all your assessments...Left with excitement about a few prospects that exceeded my expectations....Sandstrom and Vorobiyev (sp) for sure.
But Myers blew me away...I know reports suggested he had a great camp, but the difference between the memorial cup and now to me was staggering. I also think Carter Hart has the makeup to be a legit NHL goalie....still just an 18 year old....wow. |

My parents went to see it on NYE, any good? Was Gosling perfect? - arichardson22
I thought Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling both sucked at singing and it legitimately made me wonder why they were cast. My wife thinks it was on purpose (they're regular people trying to make it). I just think it took away from the overall product |

Real talk, I tried to watch Westworld last night and my HBO login wasn't working.
I promise when it comes out on DVD we can watch La La Land |

I personally am not a fan of Emma Stone, but I saw it got a good rotten tomatoes rating. Thanks for the info, perhaps I'll check it out. |

I definitely enjoyed it. I am not sure if it was so well reviewed because it is like a throwback to classic musicals or because everyone thinks they're just supposed to like it after Whiplash. Worth noting I had 0 expectations going into it (had never heard of it until I bought tickets for it) and still enjoyed it. |

I forget where I read it, but I saw somewhere an NHL team with a regular season winning streak of 10 games or more has never missed the playoffs. |

Glad to see neuvy is getting the start tomorrow. It'll be nice to see him thrown to the wolves and blamed by some for every goal that goes in. |

Totally right. Canada is far from perfect but on this one I think our laws make more sense than those of the us. - Hextall271
every time I cross the boarder into canada, the canadian customs guys ask if I'm bringing guns
coming home, the US guys ask if I am bought any codeine tablets (222s) in canada |
