Yeah but didn't they do so once they had won a cup or made playoffs numerous seasons in a row and were considered contenders? Anyway 95% of the time they should keep their first. Maybe aim to make playoffs build on the experience and look to add next year or when the right deal comes along.

Agreed - I mean if there was some magically deal for a Lindholm then have at it, anyway I trust Shanny/Lou and co.

So technically Lou is in year 2 of his 3 year deal? Will be interesting to see if he stays. Seems like he is enjoying the build and all the control he has, my guess is he won't want to leave if he thinks they are making playoffs next season. This season is just a bonus imo, kids have been steller.

My random guess – he sits in the gm chair for 5 years total and if things are going well he then transitions out into some kind of senior advisor role.
