Saw someone on Twitter suggesting they make the Olympics an under-23 tournament where NHL players would be invited, and the NHL would continue with its schedule during this time.


That could be a nice compromise.

yeah i've seen similar suggestions... i think that potentially creates a huge competitive disadvantage for certain teams. thinking this year, teams like Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto would no doubt be losing their best players for 2-3 weeks in the middle of a playoff race while a team like Montreal really loses no one.
