and i am a firm believer that the D wouldnt be any worse with Graves than with Girardi out there, but whatever we disagree

I really want AV to do this for a few games so we can all see.

Serious question, Would you trust Girardi(all his playoff experience), or Graves(who has never played against NHL caliber players) in the playoffs?
- mdw7413

I would need to see him play in the regular season first.

But seriously thats the only argument for Girardi... his exp and what hes done in the past.

should the pens have played Fleury last year because he had exp and Murray didnt?

Matt Murray was DOMINANT in the AHL last year, dominant for 2 years in the AHL actually

Ryan Graves hasn't been at all, so this is a real bad example

Sometimes, its just time to move on.
Whats worse playing a veteran who you KNOW is not the same player he was 3 years ago and who is on the downswing, or giving someone else a shot and seeing what they can do?

Completely different situation with Murray. Fleury had concussion symptoms, and you are talking about only 1 other viable candidate for that position.

I just think you cant take someone who isn't even playing well against AHL players and expect him to succeed against NHL caliber players.

I really dont think Graves would be as bad as they make it out to be. And on the flip side I REALLY think Girardi is toast

if a left side defenseman got hurt, I think it would definitely make sense to call Graves up and see what he has got

Rangers need to make a trade for a RHD, but nobody wants to trade anything

I know you want to trade Stepan, you have traded him everyday for the past two weeks

but, Winnipeg has no need to do that

Not everybody is a delicate little flower nowadays. How do you know he will be exposed, how do you know how his confidence will be affected?
You never know how people are going to react, you also never know how guys will performed when called upon. Kurt Warner and Tom Brady were backups who would've never seen the field on their respective teams had an injury not occured and they were given an OPPORTUNITY.

Don't be so shallow and childish because I don't agree with you. I NEVER compared him to ANY of them. They are examples of people who seized on opportunities

Sure, but there are countless of examples of backups who played when a QB was injured and were absolute tire fires, right?

That's the response I expected.
