once we are healthy and Fast is back on the 4th line people will begin to appreciate him again - mrn22
It's not that I don't appreciate him. My question is what does he do. I've said it over and over, nothing
Pros
Responsible
Cons
Doesn't hit
Doesn't fight
Doesnt play the pp
Doesn't score
Doesn't play a shut down style like we used to send our 4th line against other teams top lines
Not a top 5 pk on our team (miller Hayes Nash Stepan grabner)
Doesn't change the momentum of the game
Doesn't do much when u look at it so y not get a guy in there that can do some of those things |

TPC:
I would be more nervous if the Rangers got embarrassed when playing well. It was evident the team just didn't bother showing up tonight. While that is still an alarming sign it's not like its the end of the world. The team is still 26-13-1
Response from this morning.
Listen i get it, they do have a good record and played well when healthy. I like this team, i really do. I really liked Nash's hame before his first injury, Buch was really coming on, Vesey has shown signs that he can be the guy getting the garbage goals we couldnt seem to knock in before. I could go on. My concern comes in with this consistent lack of "showing up" for a game. Between this year and last year we have said it way too much for it just be every once in a while. I have been saying it for a while that this team lacks jump. This team does not have a compete level for when it matters and it has reared its ugly head too much against teams they should beat this and last year. |

The PK is fine, (frank) Boyle.

I'd bring back Boyle if he was available. Better 4th line option than Pirri or Lindberg, has the size for the playoffs and gives 100%. He will fight when needed even tho he's not very good |

I'm explaining y he's worthless, and how everyone seems to agree he has 0 trade value, yet no one wants to try someone else in his role. Explain to me y he's not replaceable? Let me guess. . . He's responsible |

Do you really have the ability to be persuaded on this one, or have you already made up your mind?

I am in agreement here. The guy plays big in the playoffs. I am just about done with Pirri. Lindberg's game is coming around...albeit too slowly, but the guy did have his hips replaced.

That is a tremendous amount of wussy. America truly is the land of opportunity and excess. |

I just think Tampa likes Boyle and they aren't sellers, he's having good season. does Eklund have Boyle's name in the rumor chart or something? |

I just realized that the Rangers traded Rick Middelton and Mike Ridley when they were 23 years old
JT Miller is 23. - jimbro83
Middleton for Hodge still angers me to this day. Ferguson wanted a buddy for Espo, killed the Rangers organization for years. If dealing Miller, return better be really worth it and a short term, old d-man fix |

To be persuaded as to his importance? If u can explain y we need him in our lineup let's hear it. I think we could use a guy with some nasty in his game, but I'm all ears. |

The only way you trade Miller is if it is for a defensemen of comparable age and ability -- the proverbial "hockey trade".

I think it was worse than that. I think Espo hated NY so much at first he was like get me one of my buddies, like Hodge or Cashman, or I am going to play in the WHA |

No, I brought it up as an example last night of the type of move I think we should made instead of a big name player. A smaller move to improve our 4th line, bc once healthy our top 9 is set. I brought up Boyle would be an improvement over Lindberg and Pirri for a playoff run. |

Actually, it was everyone's Uncle Larry at the Post that brought Boyle's name up a week or two ago. |
