Even though I am not fond of current Buffalo management, I can understand from Pegula's perspective why it would be smarter to hold off on firing everyone. Finding and hiring new guys is no easy task. If you completely clean house during the season it makes things even tougher, and I want to make sure they really do a thorough search and find the right guys.

If you fire a GM mid-season then you need someone else to step in as temp like Lafontaine did. We might not have that guy right now.

I'd rather wait until the offseason to do it right than rush it and do it now just for a season that's pretty much over already.

all of Pegula's focus should be on finding a football guy for the bills and a hockey guy for the sabres, aka vp of football/hockey operations...

polian may have been, or may still be, the guy for the bills and i'm a big fan of tallon for the sabers if he ever leaves florida

So we all agree that there is too much dead weight on this team, and we eagerly look forward to replacing them with our prospects, and others via trade or FA.
Me thinks this team is still in a world of hurt, as is shown in the "analysis" below ... we just don't have enough in the pipeline ... which leads me to the realization that Murray is going to need to go the FA route to fill a couple of holes even in view of Trade Deadline deals...

This season isn't necessarily a goner. I'd give him the nine games here it won't hurt him. It's completely harmless
