If fans really want to send a message, don't support the Bills or the Sabres.

Don't go to games, don't buy merchandise.

Get tickets down to $6 a game.

Maybe then Pegula will make changes, until then, I see the same ol' sheet.

Well Gerbe I guess they don't know what the hell they are talking about then...

The goaltending, while not necessarily spectacular this year, isn't the problem. Lehner has a .921 sv%. That puts him tied for 12th in the league. With the trainwreck of a defense that's in front of him.

You know who he's ahead of?

Lundqvist, Luongo, Talbot, Jones, Rinne, Vasilevskiy, Bishop....

But, you know, the goaltending is totally the issue here.

I never bought into the Russ Brandon as a problem thing.
He has been the only constant in this time of sucking.

If he truly has no say in the football/hockey operations, get him the F&)^ out of the draft room, the coaching searches, the FA meetings and the team progress meetings.

Until then you are going to have a hard time convincing people that he has no input and that he is not a problem.

- ImThatGuy

100% agree with you.. That was Ralph Wilsons problem... He always had that NON football type guy sticking his nose into football operations..

Brandon has more say then some think and that's the problem. Brandon claims he has no say, Whaley says he has no say, so who is steering the Titanic ?

I have no doubt that is the case now.

Pegula is a great business man but has no clue what so ever as to how to run his teams and neither does his wife.

You're asking the 16,000+ season ticket holders for the Sabres to just stop going to games.

You think they're just gonna go throw hundreds or thousands of dollars into the garbage can to "send a message?" How about no.

It's always easy to pick out the fans that don't go to games in the first place, because they're always the first to say "Stop going."

I said that before, stop going to the games let the stadium and arena stay empty but fans will not do that.

Not totally but if you have a guy who constantly holds other teams to 2 goals or less, like HAsek did, then you can win games with the pathetic offense the Sabres have.... Let's face it goose... Right now the Sabres are still 5 years from any sort of a constantly competitive team

You talk about season ticket holders well they shouldn't be spending money, hard earned money on this kind of crap year after year and if they do, they shouldn't complain about it, not saying they do. Like you said, throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars at this team and seeing the same crap year after year, it has to change.

So because the offense can't score, the goalie is the issue?

Sorry, but that's completely ass backwards.

There's times I'd like the goaltending to be better, I'm not going to say that what we've seen is perfect by any means. But the fact that our offense sucks has nothing to do with the goaltending. The problem is that the defense is TERRIBLE at any type of transition out of the defensive zone, which is handcuffing the offense. It's why we look like we're skating in molasses out there game after game.

Other than Risto and McCabe, nobody on our backend right now is doing anything that's even remotely beneficial to the team. It's brutal.

Team needs to win games . Every night its either the goalie sucking or the forwards sucking . The D has no offense and their defense is average. They need to get it together at the same time .

Derek Grant is still looking for his first NHL goal.
He has skated in 32 games with the Sabres this year to give him 72 total appearances. Grant has contributed six assists during that time, including three in 2016-17. Only two forwards have played more games without scoring; Gord Dwyer had no goals in 108 games and Tim Sestito went goalless in 101 matches.

Let's make sure we keep putting this trash can out there every game.

Jack Eichel doesn't believe this season is lost for the Buffalo Sabres even though they rank last in the Eastern Conference.
He knows there is plenty of hockey left to play and wants to the team to start winning to overcome the odds. "As a whole team, everyone needs to look in the mirror and we all need to get a lot better," Eichel said. "I think I speak for the team in saying that we're all frustrated with where we're at, and I don't think I'm the only person in the locker room that's not satisfied." For his part, he has collected two goals and two assists in his last three games.

Do you have some sort of crystal ball that told you this is how this season was going to go? Because when I paid for my part of my season tickets, this is not what I expected to see. I didn't expect them to be Stanley Cup contenders, but I did expect them to be competing for a playoff spot, as I'm sure the majority of the rest of the season ticket holders thought.

Again, it's easy for the people who don't go to games to tell those of us that do to stop going or stop buying our tickets and all that because you're not losing anything in the first place by saying "I'm just not going to go."

When you stop buying your Center Ice subscription and stop watching altogether, maybe your argument will have a leg to stand on.
