Ristolainen went from 255th, to 75th, and this year as of last week 38th.


The argument that hes a norris guy might be laughable but its ironic to see the ones who are laughing the hardest are the ones who genuinely believe he's a #6. This is like calling a 35 goal scorer a bad player because a lot of his goals are scored on the PP.

There are actually people, involved in hockey, who actually think Rasmus Ristolainen is bad. Like not a #2, like I've said he probably is, like actually bad. It's unreal.

I was laughed at when I wanted Ekblad, his exceptional status was thrown in my face countless times. Reinhart was 4th on my list that year.

Reinhart isn't playing bad ....... the team is not assembled correctly (yet), to maximize his skill set IMO. We need a few more quality pieces on offense and he'll flourish. He's a play-maker first and foremost. Same can be said for Jack ........... we just don't have enough offensive weapons for these guys to succeed on a regular basis.

We basically have 2 offensive lines. Anyone and everyone is going to suffer in that scenario ................ yes even Crosby. He'd be invisible on this team many nights. Secondary scoring is imperative on a hockey team. You can't expect 2 lines to carry the scoring every night. It's simply too easy to shut that down by the opposition. In fact a team that can shut down even one of those lines in a night is pretty much assured a win.

It's really that simple ......... look at the 3 worst teams in the league in scoring and its Arizona, Colorado and Buffalo. Defense and goaltending mean nothing to these teams........... inconsequential.

And it took Ristolainen quite a while to get going in that regard as well. It's a major reason why this defense corps is a large reason that this team was never a playoff caliber one, despite claims to the contrary.

I can't believe I am saying this but Jerry Sullivan is correct in one thing... The Pegula's are cowards for not facing the press and explaining exactly how the Sabres and Bills work and why certain decisions are made and why in the world both teams are the ultimate losers...
