Do you slot Nylander onto the 1st/2nd line next year?

I agree, I think Kane and Eichel should play together. Both have great speed. Rhino can be the set up man.

- SabreWest

If Nylander makes the team it should be in a top 2 line capacity...playing him on the 3rd makes zero sense.

Tough situation. Depends on who stays. Think he will have his shot and might run with it . Though we haven't that type of luck with our prospects/players

Hes produced more playing away from the skilled guys. seems to weight them down. Better in the checking role imo

Larsson out puts a wrench in that 3rd line with Gionta.

There is no doubt in my mind that Pegula hired Bylsma. The Pittsburgh effect.
- mhp

The Pittsburgh effect and the fact that he was the next biggest "name" out there. That's why Rex was hired. I understand the urge from Pegula to do that. It starts at the top, so if you can attract top names in coaching, the players should soon follow, ah, but the players won't come if your teams suck. Unless you give them Mario Williams money and basically kidnap them until they say yes.

The Bills are close in the sense that they're close to a playoff spot. But they're really far away in the sense that you need a QB to win in the NFL.

And if Murray came in and said "it'll take 7 years before we're contenders" A) he wouldn't have gotten the job, and B) he'd be run out of town by the fans. What's he supposed to say?

so so so true. im hoping he lucks into a good defenseman on the cheap soon, nobody is gonna be happy if he pays market value.

as for the bills, if they put a pocket passer behind that line, they better have a nice landing spot for the helicopter to land.

They should call Nylander up at some point just to give him a couple of games. They can ease him in, show him what he needs to work on, just telling him doesn't work as well as actual experience. Guhle got some invaluable experience when he came up.

Yup...

exactly why Romo wouldn't work here

Romo in Denver makes perfect sense.

I still say Taylor should be the guy for now until they can find THE guy. He is good enough to end the drought.

Nylander with another goal

Multi point game again, he was just creating all shift long.

Its very early but he looks better than reinhart by a wide margin

I agree. That contract makes it tough though. I know it's only like 20th in terms of money, but it's for a really long time. And hopefully we won't need him in 3 years which still leaves what? 5 years left?

What did Reinhart do in his first year pro-eligible WJCs? He was really good too right?

But the guaranteed money is only for the next 2 years so really it's not a bad contract at all

What's the dead money look like after that though? I'm not nearly as well versed in the NFL's salary cap as I am in the NHL's.

Reinhart was excellent in the WJC's. He was named to the tourney all star team (top 5 players) and arguably was the best (they gave it to Domi). Reinhard outplayed McDavid in the tourney. Also, in the last minute of the game with Canada ahead by 1 goal - and numerous defensive zone face offs, the Cdn coach kept Reinhart out there to take all the draws and be the shutdown guy.
