Why do you support a group that wants to kill police officers? - Yikes726
They for sure do not want that. Come on. That's not even a semi-plausible or informed interpretation of what the group stands for.
Like any movement or organization, there are probably crazy people whose actions do not represent the movement and who people uninformed about the movement probably consider representational of the movement.
Black Lives Matter is not putting black lives ahead of others, it's simply asking for equality for people who are still disproportionally affected by literally everything that is bad that can happen to a person.
The right wing has demonized them in a predictable fashion in order to further pit people against each other instead of against power structures, the establishment, institutions, politicians, certain corporations etc.
The fact is white poor people and black poor people have a ton in common and should not be afraid or against each other. It's too bad the anti-establishment sentiment that got Trump elected wasn't wasted on a con man who knew exactly what to say.
Keep in mind, this is a guy who said literally every day for multiple years that the first black president was secretly born in Kenya. I don't care if you think I'm an idiot or you don't agree with anything I say, but you should not be getting your information or ideas about Black Lives Matter from the people who support that guy, for obvious reasons. |

Tanner,
just wanted to ask as this New Year gets under way if you still feel that Nazem Kadri is miles and miles and miles and miles better than Derek Stepan. |

If you're looking for skates now a great place to check in the GTA this time of year is National Sports in Oakville. I picked up a pair of top of the line Bauers for $150 a few years ago at the beginning of January.
They will start to have a large clearance table trying to move out this years models (and anything left from last year) and depending on your foot size there are deals to be had (unless you're a really popular size of course!). As someone with extra large feet I was lucky and found a pair for a steal. |

Maybe you missed the chants done by hundreds in Minneapolis and thousands in New York and Chicago ? Yes, many of them want exactly that.
Why is it ok for you to speak about fringe elements of one cause but not another?
The way you pick and choose your "facts" leaves you intellectually dishonest at best and probably much worse in reality. |

Tanner,

Yes, significantly better.
Kadri is being utilized in a specialty role where - at least when the Leafs are at home - he's getting put out nearly all the time vs. the other team's best player. This significantly hurts his shot suppression, but overall, Kadri is crushing possession and shot generation stats like a first line all-star.
When it comes to just goals and assists, Stepan is doing better, but he's also being used in a more offensive role. In the same role I am confident that Kadri scores more, as he generates way more shots on average.
Given his versatility, his penchant for drawing penalties, and his usefulness in a defensive role I do think Kadri is a much better player. Not knocking Stefan who is also very good, but Kadri is one of the best all-round players in the NHL.
But at this point, it's like comparing Krejci to Bergeron (not that Kadri is THAT good) but in the sense Krejci sometimes gets more points but isn't ever a better player.

Nothing wrong with used equipment, but what was notable was that even used I wouldn't have been able to afford these skates. He was my buddy and he sold me the skates for $40 - I would have paid probably 2-300 for them used. - James_Tanner

Yes and no.
I like a place for Play it Again if you fall into the following categories:
-adult playing infrequently
-adult using for recreational skating (public skating on occasion)
-someone who needs a pair of skates but will rarely go
The problem with used skates comes in with either a developing foot or someone using them regularly as an adult. A used skate has already formed to the shape and biomechanics of the original owner. Since nobody will have identical biomechanics... the fit will always be wrong. In a developing child... this could play havoc with their development physically and in the sport.
disclaimer: I do not own stocks in any skate company or store selling new equipment. |

Except the stats don't show that. And voting is done by idiots. Drew Doughty just own the Norris Trophy and Burns, Karlsson and OEL didn't.
Way to act like your five though because someone more informed than you has a different opinion. |

Is it binge watch worthy?! I like binge watching whole seasons at a time and 24 has been on the back of my mind to get for years now. And Dexter. And How I met your mother. Any suggestions?! The ones I have covered are:
Game of Thrones
Big Bang Theory
House
Sons of Anarchy
Walking Dead
CSI series
And a whole lot more I could think of if I could think right right now. Still pretty hungover, that's for sure... - Flamin_Irishmin

No, I like Boston. I missed their rocketing up the charts, and I thought at the start of the year they'd fall off, but as I said in the blog, they're legit. |
