Don't trade Lemieux!

We have the forwards, prospects and picks to get a goalie. This is too much too soon for Hellybuck.....you can hide as a young player in any position except goalie.

NJ will be sellers big time and Schneider is worth takin a run at. So is MAF in Pittsburgh in the right deal?

Put Ben Bishop in our net I think we are a playoff team, we are not as far away as some think.

A guy who finishes every hit... and gets under the opponents skin... if Lemieux was called up today, he'd take pointers on both from Dano.

I like Dano and think or should i say hope he still has a lot more to offer but he does not impact a game. He may finish his hits and attempt to get under peoples skin but he doesn't do a great job of it. truth of the matter is before his injury he was given a great opportunity to show something, he did not take advantage

what I'd like to see in 2017.
-I agree we need to bring a better veteran goalie, I just don't want to over pay.
-I'm excited about Connor and Raslovik but we are loaded with young forwards. i think Chevy should look to Philly, Carolina or Anaheim ( three teams with excellent young D depth ) and look to make a 1-1 deal.
-settle the Trouba ordeal, if he's willing to stay, lock him up. if he still wants out, making the trade above would give us more flexibility in making a trade.
-bring in a better 5-6 defenceman over chairot, Postma and Stuart.
-sign Poolman as soon as his season is over, get him in some games this season, lets see what we have.

Need a veteran goalie not named Pavelec.
Need less ice time for Buff - return of Myers may help that.
Need for Buff to not just become more defensively aware, but also to make more of an effort in his own end.
Need Enstrom to use a shorter stick when he is on the power play. The long stick is ok on 5 on 5 play.
Need Laine to realize that the game is much faster in the NHL than he thinks.
Need all centers not named Brian Little, to work on their faceoff skills.
Need improved special teams play.

This is very sad news. I loved Burmistrov and did not think he ever got a fair shake playing for the Jets. He was not allowed to develop properly and Atlanta rushing him into the league really destroyed his development. Wonder what would have happened if the Jets sent him to juniors early in his career as he was only a 2nd year pro when the team relocated here. Also, makes one wonder about coaching.

I hope he turns it on in Phoenix.

He does impact the game. Everyone he plays with is better when he's on the ice. His production would catch up to his underlying numbers if he was playing a position he was comfortable with (being anywhere but left wing). Every time he's had a scoring chance as a LW, it's because he moved over to his natural side. That said, I love Petan. Perreault might be expansion fodder if Petan keeps nailing all 85's normal duties.

Reality is that with the possible exception of Evander Kane, nobody could play on a line with Burmistrov. He never passed when he should have, often hanging on to the puck for too long. His shooting skills were marginal. Perhaps he needed another season of junior hockey, but we will never know.He won't last long in AZ either.
