I forgot Sabres PR guy for hockeybuzz thinks we still have a shot..
- bluengold12

Right over your head.

You said "having to be a fan". Who's making you be a fan? You don't have to do a goddamn thing, if you don't like it stop watching, it really is quite simple.

But I think you might be on to something with the PR thing. I should be the PR guy for the Sabres...

Yep terrific greatness.

Sabres have the 3rd longest active playoff drought and haven't won a series in nine and a half years
Bills haven't made the playoffs since three years before I even hit puberty.

I have said before that I felt Reinhart didn't get enough credit, I have also said before that I'm trying very hard to get behind Lehner as our future goalie. Both are making me think twice.

If we can upgrade our 3C to a better version of Larsson why is that a bad thing? Larsson is the type of player you need on a team, he might not show up on the scoresheet every night, but he does a lot of things well, draws penalties, wears the other team out, gets under the opposition's skin so they're chasing him around not thinking about the game. A Larsson type is a great thing to have on the team.

Like I said it's not a bad pick we just have too many of those types

I was hoping we go speed with DeBrincat

And to think we could of had Benson dumb Edmonton

He's a future 3c so i mean maybe its worth it maybe its not. But that was there only upgrade on the blueline this off season and thats on mgmt.

I don't think either of us are in a position to say yes or no. The price for Larsson was astronomical. I know you would, but most on here would not trade Reinhart for Fowler and looking at our roster it would've been him or 8, and I wouldn't do either.

I bag on him often, but his last 2 shifts were real good, just need way more of that from him. He tends to be a shrinking violet.

The Buffalo defense has already seen changes in discipline under interim head coach Anthony Lynn.
"He’s done a great job of asserting himself and imprinting who he is," veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander said. "There have already been some immediate changes on the discipline portion of it." Lynn takes over after the Ryan brothers were dismissed and will lead the Bills against the Jets in Week 17. The Bills D/ST has failed to force a turnover in three of the last four weeks, but should have plenty of chances for takeaways in Week 17 with Ryan Fitzpatrick back under center for the Jets.

I'm thankful for your source, but there's no way he knows everything. And I was just speaking hypothetically anyway. I wasn't saying that was talked about, just that he's the only guy that fits that would be asked for. Jack is an obvious no, and everyone else is too old or has too much baggage. My main point is that the price for defensemen was astronomical, otherwise we would've likely seen Fowler, even he said he thought for sure he was being traded at the draft, and Shattenkirk traded, you can probably add Trouba to that list as well, but since none of them were and given what Larsson and Weber cost, I think it's fair to say the price was too high to get a solid defenseman.

It would have been Girgensons ++ but not Reinhart. I know D men are worth more to some then other teams but it would take a lot for him to move Reinhart. Never said he did know everything.

Imo, they made it because they struck out on fowler/others on draft day 1 and they needed a lefty

That's my point. And I believe that's why we didn't see a move. And that's why none of those guys were moved. Weber and Larsson were because of unique circumstances for the Oilers and Canadiens, totally inept GMs for one thing, but both Hall and Subban were "problems" in the room or org.

I know you never said he does, but you did just say there was "never" talk of Reinhart for Fowler. You can't say he doesn't know everything and then say something never happened. Again, not calling you a liar, just saying there are limits to the source that's all. Unless you're lying about who your source really is to protect your source. There's always that. And honestly, I wouldn't blame you. I would probably do it.
