Dont remember but this is exactly why you dont invest big in goaltending unless its one of the truly elite. Greiss has a 9.22 sv% for them cap hit of basically nothing

Two goals for him imo

a) put Bogo in a position to inflate his stats

b) try and put a package deal involving young players who would need to be protected. For no other reason than you would put Las Vegas in a position where they'd have no choice but to take a bad contract off this team.

he did what he had to do...they've always done that and when teams like buffalo don't, they're rightly criticized for it...

I have no problem what-so-ever with McQuaid going after Carrier. It was the way he did it, coming off the bench fresh while Carrier has been out on the ice and then going directly at him to jump the guy. McQuaid is big, can definitely fight, and is a veteran. He should have waited until he was out on the ice with Carrier and said to the kid that he needed to answer for the hit. To jump a rookie with 24 games under his belt was pathetic.

Imo depends what the expectations were. If T-Pegs wanted playoffs, then injuries arent enough to keep either guy safe. This team at "full strength" is crazy flawed.

I've always liked Ceci but have not seen him play this year.

There was an earlier comment by someone that mentioned Murray would know which direction to take with the team after another month.

I disagree with that as he knows what he has and what he has to do, which means ditch pending UFA's like Kulikov and Franson for a return of some kind while trying to get rid of an RFA or two and hoping to somehow offload one Ennis or Moulson.

When the time comes, I have a feeling it's going to be something like hey, if you can take Bogosian, Moulson, or Ennis off of our hands, we'll also give you someone like Carrier and a 3rd, and while we're at it, can you at least give us a 3rd or 4th back?

I haven't too much either, but I don't think he's been doing well at all.

More of an Ottawa/bad d man joke.

IMO, they need to get Moulson,Bogo,Kulikov, Franson, D-lo, Gionta all out and get in more speed and skill.

Our speed is embarrassingly bad compared to most teams that are ahead of us in the standings

There's definitely a few guys in the lineup that do not have very good wheels. Moulson and Franson most specifically. Gorges leaves a lot to be desired as well. But really, other than those guys, the rest are average and then a few above average, like Carrier, Kane and Eichel. Even Gionta (as old as he is) still has some pretty serious wheels.

The problem is that none of them get to use their even average skating ability because the passing on this team is absolutely horrendous.
