The Bills are looking more and more like a joke with keeping Whaley and then letting him pick the coach.

conversely, most had the bills beating Miami at least once...also most had the Oakland game as a tough one based upon the progress they made last season...

the time to break the drought was last season and rexy blew it...ownership had their eyes on him from that moment forward

- Michael Pachla

Agreed, and no one had the Pats at 3-1 without Brady.

Bottom line for me, when a coach proves over two years that he can rarely, if ever pull out games in the clutch, it's time to cut ties. The Miami game was the last straw

He has implemented a system that focuses on getting pucks deep, turning defenders backs, and then chasing and retrieving the puck, and starting it all over again.

But our best player likes to carry the puck on his stick. Kane likes the puck on his stick (its why he and Jack struggle together). Kulikov and Bogosian are not the brainiest of players, or the most adept play makers, but they can carry the puck in transition and can skate faster than average.

We are asking them to do exactly what they are bad at – make low percentage, lightning fast decisions and pinpoint tape to tape passes. Get the puck up to the evacuated wingers and do it fast and fit it in a tiny window. 99% of the time it doesn’t work.

McCabe also can skate very well. They don’t get activated in the offensive zone and rarely get involved in neutral zone play. We are using our defensemen for their weaknesses.

For the first time in a while, i decided to not back read. So, thanks for this.
I feel like a GM is supposed to select a coach who's style reflects the team he has built. I feel like Bylsma plays a very safe, boring game. kinda reminds me of Ruff post Drury/Briere. I'd like to see him figure out how to get Jack cherry picking rather than playing defence behind the net. He definitely needs to accentuate the skills of the players he has. Im convinced this team could score more goals if Bylsma loosened the leash a little.

Toronto - Air Canada Center

Now they have to turn around and play tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 against Russia. That is tough.

Can't argue this. As brought up previously the presser with just Lynn was pitiful as well.

Here's the tough question:

Would you rather have Rex or Whaley gone if you had to pick just one?

Think Whaley is more of a problem honestly. Rex isn't good, but Whaley just blows it every time it seems. It's like when they fired Roman when it was our defense playing terribly.

Was it just the regular head coach presser? I don't blame them, they're trying to have as much normalcy as they can. They're not going to trot out the owners and the GM for the regular weekly presser.

No, but you have one beforehand to address the elephant in the room, which everyone knew was going to come up. You address the firing of Rex and the decision to start EJ. You don't leave it up to the interim HC who had absolutely no say in the decision. I'm embarrassed as a fan knowing the organization didn't have the foresight to see this coming. Poor Lynn, sorry he had to be the fall guy through all of this. Bravo Sully for relentlessly attacking Lynn. Sully's motive wasn't to take a rookie to task, it was to expose this circus as if to say to the organization you're going to send this guy out here to do your dirty work, then FU, I'm going to smear you.

Lynn is going to be the puppet that Whaley controls and that is sad, Lynn shouldn't be tossed into the fire like that. You mean to tell me they can judge Lynn on 1 game ? and Tyrod isn't even playing. Should have fired Rex after the Raider game and give Lynn more time to judge him.

These are just "bold predictions by Kris Baker

7) At season's end, rumors of a Sam Reinhart for William Nylander trade emerge, adding a little more fuel to what many hope will be a competitive re-kindling of a long-standing NHL rivalry between the Sabres and Maple Leafs.

Uniting the Nylander brothers with Jack Eichel makes for a tantalizing rumor in Buffalo leading up to the draft in Chicago. Meanwhile in Toronto, the thoughts of bringing a former World Junior star "home" to play for Mike Babcock makes for a compelling story line.

It would be the first trade between Toronto and Buffalo since March 4, 2009 when the Sabres spent a second-round pick to acquire Dominic Moore.

2) With contending teams looking to tinker and add depth before the rush of the trade deadline, Johan Larsson becomes a hot topic of discussions in January and is ultimately moved.

Larsson's growth into a role is the best thing that could happen for Tim Murray, who inherited Larsson from the previous regime. Larsson's checking-line competence and ability to agitate is attractive to contenders, and his pending status as an RFA could add to the attraction for a team that sees him as something greater than a rental.

Among the suitors is a Minnesota Wild team that originally drafted Larsson in the 2010 draft.

Murray knows his team is speed-deficient. Moving a valued, affordable, yet not-so-speedy player like Larsson may disappoint fans in the short term, but could make sense when considering the long-term blueprint.

Pegula basically fired Rex and it cost him nothing I was reading yesterday, forgot where it was. I guess it had to do with taxes and the time he fired him or something like that. Like I said Lynn will be the " safe " hire for Pegula and CO. Still have no real QB and things won't change much.
