Right forgot Eriksson was listed as a top 6. I think Danny and Hank likely line up on many teams top 6 as well.

Canucks have 6 forwards in the top 120 for minutes per game.

Hank, Danny, Sutter, Hansen, Eriksson, Granlund.

Canucks only have two players in the top 120 in pts per 60
Baertschi and Horvat.

It's a gamble either way. He will most likely improve when he is fully healthy so they can potentially sign him for a discount in January. I suspect they wait until the summer to analyze his game over a full season.

I don't think its too much of a gamble to wait and expect them to wait. That said I won't be surprised they announce a signing early next week because Benning has shown he likes to deal with this early.

Personally I hope they do a deal in January. His value has likely dropped due to his slow start. I still believe EG has more to show.

It might not be Benning that is holds it up. If I'm Gudbanson's agent, and I believe that his injury is the reason he's played poorly, I'd definitely want the rest of the season to raise his stock.

There is no time table for his return, he could be out for a cpl months. That doesn't leave him much time to prove much of his worth that he hasn't already shown.
