I think he is too soft . He is too close to some of the core players to do what is best for the team.

That is my thinking agree or disagree

But the broke system won't change unless the new coach comes in and says Daniel you are playing with Bo and Hank you are centering Burrows and Loui.

There is too much predictable play and cycling along the perimeter . Every team has the book on this club.

Right now Canucks main objective is to get Hank and Danny to 1000 pts. Brining in Green will not change that.

- VANTEL

that part is 100% dead on. THAT WILL change the team.

the RIGHT coach will. I just hope we end up with that coach and not another lazy fool

Torts is as tough as nails and he couldn't split them up without getting fired how can a rookie coach

I understand coaching just fine

I just don't think firing coach after coach until you find the right coach makes any sense ...there comes a point when maybe it's not just poor coaching

- Redmile247

youre going in circles.
and no, from our discussions previously obviously you dont understand coaching, not at the level Im talking about anyways. Lots thought they did until they see how deep the hole goes.

but Im sure we can agree on this....when your coach gets absolutely schooled by Hartley there is a serious problem with staff that should be fixed asap.

you will never sell me on that. No point throwing it my way, it'll never happen.

we need a coach that will rid the team of the country club effort. AND to change the offense mistakes made that have plagued the team for a long time. BEFORE it makes its way into other player on the team.

We need a coach that will employ change....and you know this too. We have chosen coaches that are lazy, soft, and stupid. Time to change that. When your coach is lazy your players will be as well.

And the debate continues, the 1st bolded statement is correct, but will never happen until the Sedins are gone, period. They are the reason for the country club atmosphere, not one coach is going to change that.

When all the "paid" experts proclaimed the canucks to get between 65-80 points this year, they didn't base their analysis on this because of the coach. It was clearly stated, because of a lack of quality talent this team would wallow in the bottom of the standings.

The second bolded statement quite frankly confuses me, I have no issues with you personally Dragon, but to make this statement from watching a fcuking TV set and adamantly proclaiming this as fact confuses me. If you were invested as a member of the coaching regime, maybe, I've spent a quarter century dedicated to coaching, and have never, ever, met anyone that has attained this level of coaching as "lazy, soft and stupid".

Try walking a mile in his shoes.

We won't see a coaching change until the off season. JB and TL know that this team just isn't good enough. There is no point in changing the coach if it will not change the outcome this season.

I love the fact Nashville found a way to trade for a true #1 Center.

It was an easy decision when they had an excess amount of young talented assets.

its because I have a strategist mentality. Most people dont.

When changes need to be made and are ignored for 2 entire seasons you are lazy. 2 assistants come in making sweeping changes to the D right away. Shows how little the originals did huh? Makes them lazy to me.

Fine I don't understand coaching at whatever level you think is needed ...but you don't understand talent at the NHL level which is needed for any coach poopty or good to succeed

so you think its ok for the message to your team to be "its ok to under perform and have a lack of effort"? really?
You want our future to be learning that? Ok so then its not ok to have these clowns behind our bench

Nope, I didn't say that. What I am saying is there is no point doing it right now. Like you said earlier, it's been going on for 2 seasons. I am in agreement with you that we do need a coaching change, just no point to do it right now.

if it waits though then you are allowing that culture to fester and infect the youngsters with it. No thanks. Do it now.

If the players, who have played competitive hockey all their lives need a kick in the pants to wanna win then we need to trade them right now.

The coaches responsibility is to give the teams systems/tactics to be successful at both ends of the ice. These are the things where I think WD has failed. His line deployment is brutal. He struggles reading the game within the game, his in game adjustments aren't very good.

No coach is going to come in mid-season and change all the systems/tactics and be successful. That is why I feel at the seasons end is better.
