I'll put it this way. If both Snow & Crappy are back next season, I'm done. I won't watch, won't buy any merchandise, won't want anything to do with this organization. Hell, I might even delete my account here. That would be the ultimate slap in the face to the fanbase.

Well hate to break it to u, but I think Garf stays next season, I could see a new coach in place bc of how this season is going, just my .02

That would be incorrect. They have a 15% chance of making the playoffs.

Garth staying would make no sense. He does not work out then the new GM wants to bring in another coach and that's another coaching change. I really hope Garth does not stay. Ledecky should fire both guys and give the new president a clean slate.

I have a bad feeling Garf will be back as well.
If that's the case, then I'm not getting the center ice package. But if BOTH of them stay, I'm done.

You mean Bert would not fight for Ernie and quit if only Ernie is fired?

I tend to agree and wish new ppl come in but think Snow will get 1 more year but have more professional personal in place to assist and/or take over

nice to see stringing together some wins and that cappy finally figured out that Lee and Ladd best suited to play in front of the net and not by the boards.

However Isles only have 5% chance of making playoffs right now. Scary but true. With Both Columbus and Flyers emerging as Easter powerhouses the metro division is the toughest in the league. You either need isles to only lose 4-5 games for reminder of season or you need one of the teams in metropolitan division to have complete meltdown right now.

sorry to be debby downer but I just looked at it last night. That said, Beating the hottest team in West is good start to increase chance of making it.

As of now Philly is on pace to finish with 98 points (this is the current pace, a lot could change). For the Isles to tie, they can only give up 32 of the remaining 96 points available. They have almost no shot at the playoffs, but they won't be mathematically eliminated if they lose 5 games.

What proven coach will want to come in if Garth is still GM? Thompson or Weight taking over is not the answer. What good president would even want the job if they have to keep Garth?

Let me reiterate, I think Bert will be back next year. That said, if you're hired to turn this clown car around, don't you want your people to help do it? Why do you want the guy that drove you to this point to keep going? I just hope they're both gone.

This is true. Things seem tougher with the Isles though. Wonder if Garth keeps the GM title in name only and it's the president who calls the shots?

Then why keep Bert? Why pay a puppet? You could put Wang Jr. in that position then and pay him in potato chips.

Wouldnt be shocked, 1 thing that Garf has done is supply the organization with talent, but thats about it....

Why bother to do that? If your going down that road then hire your kid or friend to be GM. Let them collect the check and get some on the job training.

I agree hockeyman. Easiest and smartest thing is to clean house. Garth is not a Ledecky hire so it makes no sense for Ledecky to have any sense of loyalty. Does Ledecky really want to hear how he kept Garth on and could not clean house?

One system is less work for Cappy. He cannot be bothered with making adjustments and matching lines like a normal coach does.
- ses111

He's incapable of doing it Ses. He's a one trick pony and doesn't have the knowledge nor experience to change his teams structure or strategy based on the talent or lack there of.
As far as Snow, his mojo will take a hit once the PoHO is hired and I would think not long after that Snow will get his walking papers. As a matter of fact once he's in the situation of having someone looking over his shoulder he may just take his ball and go home, It would be a lot like having 3 goalies on the team only it would be in the executive office.
also I wouldn't keep Snow if i was changing the coach, I would want the new crew coming in all at once and also on the same page with each other, PoHO, GM and Coaching Staff.

No way I would bother to do that. I blame Ur Not Me for keeping the hope that Garth stays.

In retrospect its 1 bad season out of 3, just asking but does that deserve a firing??

It's clear Cappy has no clue on X's and O's. Just listen to him talk hockey. Garth should do the right thing and leave with Cappy. Garth stuck with him this long and he is going to stay and Cappy leaves? No valid argument can be made to keep either guy. Cleaning house is the only right answer.

It does deserve a firing when it's 10 years and one playoff win and you stuck with a lousy coach for 7 years and you have not developed young prospects properly. Garth made him and Cappy a package deal and both need to go.

WTF!!!! 1 bad season in 3? How about 9 bad seasons in 10?! Snows had 10 years to make this team a contender. Crappy has had 6 years at the helm. All 3 times they made the playoffs they barely squeaked in. What was this regimes highest seed in the playoffs? 7th? Maybe a 6th, but I believe 7th. I thought Snow was just an emergency replacement for Smith. That he would only be a placeholder for the real GM. He didn't have a problem replacing Nolan or Gordon, but he's got a problem replacing Crappy? Come on, man. Bert is to the GM position as Ernie is to the coaching position.

Hell Yeah, The smuck GM changed the dynamic of this team and they have taken a huge step backwards. The Coach and GM both need to get their ass's canned!
