Wouldn't be a bad thing if the Aquilini's sold. Start from the top. They got the land they wanted.

I'm sure it doesn't mean much, but from an outside perspective I've gotta agree with Vantel (from what was said in the last thread). Horvat is your best player both visually and statistically. The fact that he, Baertschi and Sutter aren't given top PP minutes consistently is beyond me.

The whole PP issue surrounds the Sedins. The plain and simple fact is that most PK systems no longer chase them when they're doing their passing game in the right corner of the zone. PKers now just stand back in the slot, sticks at the ready to block any seams that the Sedins would normally try to exploit. They've been doing the same thing far too long and far too well that the opposition has adjusted.

Truthfully, that's not insurmountable, if they cover the seams. If we could get a D-man that could really shoot the puck and get it on net and shoot it hard, that might get PKers to cover the points and open up things for the Sedins. It's not like the 2nd PP was that much more efficient scoring than the the PP1 so making Bo, Sven and Sutter PP1 isn't going to drastically improve our PP efficiency.

There is no quick one fix to this team. It is a dyke with more holes than Swiss (Swede) Cheese.

Going out and doing the same thing over and over is insane.

I would go twenty games minimum with

Danny Bo Hansen
Sven Sutter Granlund
Burrows Henrik Loui

It's decent…but after Atkinson Saad Foligno and Gagner it tapers off pretty quick.

I'm not sold on their status yet but good on 'em for doing well until the xmas break.

I'm of the mind that giving them the first go at things rather than being second string would help them improve that. It's also not so much about improving the now; it's about getting them familiar with one another for the future. Those three are the Canuck's top 5-on-5 points/60 producers and they represent a a good deal of the future of the team. Some one is going to have to take over the PP once the Sedins leave so why not get them acclimated now? The more comfortable the group is together, the more their creativity can flourish.

Then, when the time comes, guys like Boeser and Hischier (definitely the route to go given the chance) can step in and enhance an established PP group.

Adding the big shot ain't going to open up much more for the Sedins out there. They are getting older and slower and passing the puck way too much and let's face it…teams just have them figured out regardless if we added another Sami Salo.

It may not be a 'drastic' improvement but but Bo Sutter Baertchi and even Eriksson should be getting PP1 minutes. We need to throw something different at teams and that's it. Eriksson had great success on the PP in Boston why he hasn't seen PP1 minutes here is crazy. Sedins aren't stupid they see the 2nd line minutes coming…we just need someone with balls to break up the country-club and make it happen.

A good lineup with solid depth... pretty much all of which are shooting well above their norms. I think they're still a playoff team thanks to Werenski and Murray lessening their dependency on Johnson, but I don't see them as the elite team they have been of late.

Bought a beautiful new Samsung 60" 4K tv from Costco yesterday, it's been awesome watching the Hawks flounder away in this game to the Cardinals
