I busted up the ice in the driveway that the plow guy leaves, and my back is killing me. Started early getting my daughter's car all tuned up now while she's home from college and then ran to a few import stores to get the Ukrainian some small Schenke for her stocking tonight.

I'd keep ROR, Risto, Okposo, Jack, McCabe, Foligno, Carrier, depending on trade value Samson, Kane, Bogosian, Moulson from the current rooster. next year 2 spots should go to Guhle and Baptist(Nylander the following year) and what we can trade for, or get in FA. We still have a very weak, but improving grade to FA's. Finally, first and foremost, I would replace our coach with Ralph Krueger from team Europe.

will never happen. But Murray has a serious opportunity at improving this team in this upcoming off season. Gionta, Grant, Kuli, Franson, are all gone. McCormick is off the books. Hopefully we lose one of Ennis, Moulson, BoGo to Vegas. Maybe a trade dump of Girgensons or D-Lo.

The point being is that Murray is going to have a lot of money freed up and a lot of contract space. This will be his Do-over after he screwed up in making a lot of bad trades/bad signings. He needs to hit a homerun this time.

This is exactly the kind of non-complicated way of improving the team that Sabresfan-365 was talking about earlier.

It doesnt have to be that complicated or extravagant. This team really can take a step forward simply through subtraction and proper player development.

if you mean moving youngins into slots left open by those who've been subtracted, then proper player development may not occur...

what players like Franson, kuli, Gionta and gorges, d-lo, gus, grant and to an extent bogo have allowed the team to do is properly develop their players...we saw what happened when nelson was in the lineup and we're seeing how long it's taken carrier, bailey and baptiste to develop and they're not even completely there yet

I understand that everyone wants to see a shake up with the Sabres but it's of utmost importance that GMTM holds his cards and makes sure we are well positioned for the expansion draft this summer. It's painful to watch but I have a feeling we are going to see some fireworks right before and after the draft.

When it comes down to it, it's a game, and the players need to start looking at it that way. Win the game!! Whether it is a puck battle in the corner, a power play, a period, or the whole game. Just try to win the game. These guys are "the best in the world" at hockey. They need to start playing with some emotion. Seems like the Sabres have too many guys that seem to view this as a job and not a game.

Firmly believe if there is any change to be made it is the Coach. His complete lack of emotion is reflected in how the team starts out games. I'm sick of watching a team that is coached to not make mistakes and looks scared to lose. Let's get a coach who plays to win.
