nah they need a winner behind the bench

they came out flat tuesday, came out flat thursday

they would be more inspired if ted nolan or kurt russell was the coach

- homiedclown

You would get the same result though.

A lack of fire is a concern, and if Bylsma has lost the room, he needs to go, but you still need a coach that knows what he's doing structurally. It's not "either/or". It needs to be "both/and".

eichel, risto and kane in the presser

Then they could score on one or more of the servers.

I've been on the fire Bylsma bandwagon since Nov last year when they were struggling then and I asked this blog when fans will wake up and begin to question Bylsma and his dump and chase system.

The author of the post that Schultzie linked too is far more eloquent and knowledgeable about what I was trying to point to from my "eye test" method of evaluation. All these players look lost, because they are learning from a "genius" career 4th liner as a coach...seriously, it is akin to bringing in Kaleta to coach this team.

One solution, fire Bylsma. Gallant could be had, his success with a young developing team should point to him as a strong candidate.

Im totally on board.
He's basically doing everything Penguin fans said he would do when we hired him.

I now see how a coach gets fired when he has crosby, malkin and letang

if your team is lost with risto, gionta (he is fine for a captain), eichel, ror, okposo, etc, etc, etc

your playing at home, and the coach does not put your best player on either pp unit, when your losing

that alone should get you canned

Isn't that what you want though, a goaltender who does not cost much who makes the saves he needs to make, and every so often makes a key save as well?

His numbers are fine, and the key is they should also mean a giant raise on a long term deal is not coming.

- kingcong39

Yea, besides shootouts, Lehner has been decent. But not great.

He's stole maybe 1 game for us against Ottawa. You have another guy who's stole a game against the Cup Champs and has barely got a look in the last 10 games.

Dan Bylsma was an embarrassment as an NHL fringe player and now he is an embarrassment as a coach. Just listening to him speak fills me with dread and dispair. He is a humorless man with no zest for life and who realizes deep down that he only has credibility in this league thanks to the COAT TAILS OF SIDNEY CROSBY. God bless Terry Pegula, but he was so hurt over Babcock SHAFTING us that he ran out and got the second "biggest" name on the market. Pegula has an eye for "big names" but little skill.

another thing, the Pegulas need to be decisive

if your going to fire ryan , just f@cking do it, don't string it out a month

if they are thinking about firing dan, just do it don't let this season slip away

Who is to blame for the consistent coming out flat in games.
The coach or the players

I remember being told Tortorella was done as a head coach, and that his shtick doesn't work anymore...

The only one really saying that the Pegulas made their decision on Ryan is Schefter, who doesn't have as big of a pulse on the Bills as he likes to think he does.

I say coach. Never see dan communicating with players behind the bench.

I still think they are talking to tom to be the gm, not the coach

at least that is what I am hoping

The Team's leadership....Gionta, ROR, Eichel, Risto...
It's called holding each other accountable and clearly it needs a boast.

The poopty "system" that is proving a failure with a talented enough roster is on the coach.

what if they're not thinking of firing rexie?

at the beginning of the season, how many pundits had the bills finishing any higher than 9-7, or even 8-8...not many save for overzealous fans like myself who thought that with the absence of brady for a game and maybe a little bit of luck, they could eek out a 10-6 record...however, the opening two losses pretty much took care of that

Meanwhile Sabres are going on year 6
