So with taking into account all the different variables in regards to the expansion draft. Who would our most likely, let's say three, player would be that we may lose one to Vegas? - sskkoo1
My guess is that it will be Larsson. I would love it to be Bogosian or Moulson, but I can't see Vegas wanting to tie itself down with that sort of cap space. You can easily sign more productive veterans for shorter term if getting to the cap floor becomes an issue. |

you didn't say that...you said at his best - Michael Pachla
He has always had trouble playing with other talent. He is absolutely at his best in a fore checking role.

Yes. Since he's been here, when he's played his best hockey, he has been an above average third liner. |

Ultimately he's too expensive for what he brings. |

his best hockey has been over the last 10 games...6 goals, 3 assists
even over the 20 games he's played this year he's on an 82-game pace of 24 goals and 20 assists...
without first-unit powerplay time
not sure there are a lot of third-liners who produce that...if you have a list, more power to ya |

Ennis
Moulson
Ullmark - Stripes77
I can see Ullmark being left unprotected, but I don't see Vegas taking him. Just will be too many veteran goalies out there for them to choose from. Putting together some wins in their first season will be important and I don't see them leaving the pipes to an unproven rookie. |

While mostly playing on 3rd and 4th lines.
Hence, the "better than average" part. He has offensive talent. I don't think anybody in their right mind disputes that. However, in the season and a half he's played here, when in a top 6 role, the team has been far worse off. Sbroads put it best. He struggles playing with other talent. That makes him a 3rd liner, except with an above average skill set compared to most other 3rd liners. |

Why are we limiting the sample though?
He had 35 points last year.
He's on pace for around that this year.
He's never going to play 82.

Gotcha. He is playing very well right now. I think in part because of where he's slotted on the team.
He's not expected to score a goal every other night like he would be with Jack. He's just expected to be a wrecking ball, and capitalizing on chances right now |
