Isn't one of the reasons TM traded for him was because he is a UFA at the end of. The season, therefore Vegas can't select him...or wouldn't .... I forget the rules on if they can draft UFA's, at one point I obviously thought not.


If that is the case, perhaps they don't sign a contract until after the Entry Draft.
