Him with Larsson and Gionta is a line that every team would want as their 3rd line. Lets keep that together for the rest of the season.
- cabin

That is a solid line.. it is the most consistent line we have had all season. but that probably has a lot to do with them not being injured like every other line

the biggest problem with him is going to be can we get a reasonable contract for him.. becuase of his name and local appeal i feel like he is going to over value himself in buffalo on a contract.
- IndianaSabresFan

I don't think it will be a problem. He knows he isn't star power. At least I hope he feels that way.

That line has done pretty well in terms of what you'd expect from them. General pain in the ass to the other team, and can pot some goals for you. 15 goals for that trio so far this year. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Ideally, I'd like to have that as my 4th line with 3 really solid lines above it. That's a Cup contending type of roster, IMO.

I consider late rounds 4th on

Borgen, Estephan, Olofsson, Glotov (could be really good), Hagel and Brett Murray show progress

and that is just from the 3 Murray drafts

Petersen, Ullmark , Florentino, maybe Possler from the Darcy drafts

the key IMO is focus on goalies and euros round 4 on, instead of some blah player you see 10 times
99 times out of 100, they are bust, non goalies, after the 3rd round but the gems almost always turn out to be Euros

I still want them to sign Fasching's center when he finishes playing this spring, Justin Kloos

- homiedclown

Honestly, for my argument, I'm pretty much considering late round anything after the first. I guess Foligno could be considered a hit. He has a role on the team. I like him. Maybe the guys you named will turn out, but they haven't panned out in the NHL yet and until they do, Sabres still don't have a Marchand. I hate him, but that guy is awesome.

Pretty sure Foligno has been out there playing through plenty of his own aches and pains. He's taken a beating out there and has barely missed a shift. Had to leave the ice a few times after taking some pretty bad hits that looked like could make him miss time, but he's been back out there a few mins later for the most part. He's in beast mode right now and it's working for him.

He's from "Buffalo", he's playing on his dads team, his family lives straight north in Sudbury or whatever, he plays for one of the most player friendly owners and teams In sports, he plays with Eichel, ROR and Risto and is finding a niche doing it. I think they can get something worked out that works for both parties.

Foligno has been consistently good all year in my opinion and I would say that was one of his flaws in the past. I bet he is a piece other teams want in return.

Fowler for Foligno. Would you?

Some interesting facts surrounding GUS and the 2012 Draft.

Gus was selected 14th Overall that year. How he currently rank among that Draft Class

* Goals - 6th
* Games - 7th
* Points - 8th
* Assists - 11th

The fact we didn't really hit on either him nor FreakArenko hurts but is soothed slightly by the 44th Pick that year!

Interesting for sure MEBS. Could make for the argument that he is better than we give him credit for .
