Burkie ?
Dougie's game changed when GG stopped playing him 15 minutes on the 3rd pairing with our worst D men ... put Johnny with bouma and Hathaway and play him 11 minutes a game and he won't look that good either
Well maybe he still will ...but you get what I'm saying |

Gotta think Colorado is busy answering phone calls right now.
Anyone see any fits for us to assist on a shake up with them? |

I thought about that and it would be a great story line!!
I think they would want more than Wideman and honestly i think that ship has sailed.
I know this is super unrealistic but Nathan MacKinnon and Johnny were amazing on team North America.
Starting point would be Bennett and ....
Just trying to get some talk going not trying ruffle any feathers |

If they ever traded him it would be for Dougie + or Brodie +

I'd lose interest when they mentioned those two and hang up when they asked for the plus.
Colorado has nothing we need right now. Unless they feel like trading Iggy for a mid round draft pick (and Iggy actually wants to come here). At this point I don't really see the point of trading Wideman. It's his last year and it's not like we have anyone else who's ready to step into a top 4 role anyway.
Unless a trade is going to make us better in season's to come we may as well just stand pat with the guys we have. Looking for trades/free agents in the off season that will improve our team and allowing our young guys to develop for another year is probably the best course of action. |

I don't want any part of iggy ....in some magical world iggy would retire a flame with a cup but that's highly unlikely and I think it's best he stays away from this team

Is Iggy in his last year? After the guy snuffed out the trade to Boston I have a hard time wanting him back. |

I'm willing to bet if the Oil are in a playoff spot come the deadline, Iggy goes there...
And at that point I burn my Iginla jersey! |

I think if anything he would go to a legit cup contender ..I'm sure he wouldn't mind coming back to Alberta but neither the flames or oilers are an iggy away from that |

Im not sure they are any deeper outside defence. That continues to be your comparitive strength. With the Hall trade and Nugent Hopkins not doing so poop hot youve closed the gap on Forwards but I dont think your deeper.
Take Our respective best forwards out of the mix and what do we have?
Draisailt would be your 2nd best forward after Johnny G and thats no slight to Money, it just is, and Bennett would be our 6th or 7the best forward.
Overall, Draisaitl, Eberle, Lucic, pullijarvii, Nugent Hopkics and Lucic is still far better than Money, Brouwer, Bennett, backlund, Tkachuk and whatever ham and Egger you want to throw in there.
Speaking of Ham and Eggers, I doubt the you could swap out your 4 best role players for Maroon, Kassian, Pouliot and Pitlick without the Oilers making a serious downgrade. Who do you have? Ferland? - Larsson_fan

Yeah, funny thing is Boston almost won that year but they got Yagr instead who pooped the bed. Iggy could have had his Ry Bourque moment. |
