Gustavsson was flat out terrible last night. People are riding Klefbom for that last goal and while he badly misplayed it, his goalie forgot everything he had ever been taught. Klefbom had at least made it so Raffle could not go across the net with the puck. So then Gustavsson makes himself as small as possible leaving half the net open to get scored on. When the defense can't trust the goalie they try to do to much, which leads to more mistakes, leading to more fails by the goalie. - Sloughshark17
That's a very fair point and something we of all people should be very aware of considering our past 10 years. |

A little from Manning's mouth in that link....
A little less homer vision might help you.
We'll never know what happened unless there is on ice audio released. - dragonoffrost
I don't think he did injure him on purpose .
He clearly had a big part in the injury, and is probably more at fault than was ever really indicated by Connor or anyone else.
but I'm not saying intent was part of it
But that's what Connor is claiming he said last night. And using logic and context, that makes a ton sense
The only thing homer here is refusing to admit the logic here.
Pretty out of order thing to say, but he was being beaten mercilessly by Connor. Gotta do whatever u can to try and cope with him I guess and If saying dumb sh1t gives u a shot at containing him--sure |

Clearly doesn't take much to get into Mcdavids head. Yes he had a goal and an assist, but he also turned it over with the goalie pulled in the final seconds. Probably saw manning taunting him from the bench and got all teary eyed and just lost sight of the puck. - sbakley13
It was bound to happen eventually. As with all generational players, the lowest common denominators of the world will find any excuse to try to insult him. As his play doesn't warrant anything, all they can come up with is this type of garbage. |

And if getting in Connor's head still results in 97 picking up 2 points and dominating when he's on the ice then that's not the worst for Edmonton either.

The only coward is McDavid. Who complains that someone won't fight your guys? Who calls someone a franking female dog while Uncle Milan is licking his chops waiting for Manning's move? I suggest Tampax Pearl or Playtax Gentle Glide for the next game.

Again...
McDavid had a different version. After the Flyers' historic 6-5 comeback win over the Oilers on Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center, he said Manning admitted he injured him on purpose.
Manning vehemently denied it.
Until mic audio comes out it's McDavid said/Manning Said. I'm not saying Manning didn't I'm just saying stop believing one side until there is proof. |

That's how the league works
Plugs fight tough guys and other plugs
U think Connor Mcdavid is gonna drop mitts with Brandon Plug no name manning ?

Let me show you an example from Ek's thread of what kind of poster you seem like:
McDavid shouldn't have said a word about the incident. For a few reasons. That being said this Manning clown is another in the long line of goons employed by the Philly Flyers. Its no wonder it has been 40 years and counting - EugenesAxe
Your first post in this thread, and the post quoted above, exhibit pretty equal levels of intelligence. Please reflect on whether or not this is the type of poster you would like to be.

"We all remember Manning as the minor-leaguer pretending to be an NHLer who jumped on McDavid’s back, because McDavid was too fast for him to deal with, and drove the super rookie’s shoulder into the end boards at high speed."
Come on man, stop.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3z3YfNMBXc0
Which part of that shows McDavid getting away or Manning purposely driving him into the boards? I mean did you think you could just say that and no one would actually look at the play from last year? |

Sensitive is your mongoloid ass coming in here to troll about something you evidently care about WAY too much. Sensitive is Hendo bringing this up in the first place. It ISN'T calling someone out for being a sad excuse for a troll with too much experience failing to detract from the best players in the world.

Ok true but I just realized that the last "Manning" that denied doing something, ended up being found guilty. So by association of last names, (which is a completely scientific practice) we probably have to go with McDavid being truthful here. |

I wonder if Matt Henderson could share the audio recording he has of what was said on the ice last night? I know its much easier to hide behind a keyboard and call someone a coward.
Short of the injury what was the difference between McDavid making a tough defensive backcheck on Provorov which caused him to lose an edge then crash into the boards and what Manning did to McDavid last year? No difference but I get that homer glasses change everything.
For me personally I dont want to see McDavid fighting anyone, it doesnt do the Oilers or the game any good to have one of the top players in the world out for weeks with a broken hand or something. Additionally Lucic can go with anyone so hopefully next game they deal with it the way Simmonds handled the Rangers drama last year...
Start of the game, settle up and move on.
