Meet Benoit at WEM along time ago. Got his autograph on a pack of smokes only thing i had. He didnt really want to sign it but he did. Seemed like a normal guy. His wife was 10/10 or girlfriend who knows. Read his story in Maxim crazy poop.

Short of the injury what was the difference between McDavid making a tough defensive backcheck on Provorov which caused him to lose an edge then crash into the boards and what Manning did to McDavid last year? No difference but I get that homer glasses change everything.

For me personally I dont want to see McDavid fighting anyone, it doesnt do the Oilers or the game any good to have one of the top players in the world out for weeks with a broken hand or something. Additionally Lucic can go with anyone so hopefully next game they deal with it the way Simmonds handled the Rangers drama last year...

As much as I can't stand the oilers!! And the star treatment that the refs give him!! As well as the oilers commentators are pathetic when they talk about him!! Mcdavid is not a cowerd at all!!! If anything he plays with a little edge at times, and that is a good thing. But he will look back at his comments when he is older, and realize that what he said was stupid!!

You're so wrong on this one. The AHL caliber player was ribbing him on the ice that he injured him on purpose. Anyone has a right to retaliate in any way they want to after comments like that. Personally, I would have taken the game misconduct and handled it right there and then, but that is not the responsible thing to do if you are A. arguably the best player in the league, B. leading a very mediocre team in all offensive categories, C. not exactly a pugilistic type of player, and D. have the intelligence to know not to jeopardize any of A, B, and C...and therefore use the best skill and forum available to absolutely sink Brandon Manning. Not only is McDavid such a magnificent player, but he is so intelligent. If this happened 20 years ago, Manning would likely not play in the league anymore (either beaten out physically, or just pushed out politically). Even if Manning plays another year or two in the show, everyone everywhere now knows what a dip$hit this kid is and McDavid knew that is a great way to sink this kid. I think the whole thing was played so well by Connor...he also showed some serious aggression in his glaring trash-talk episode after the goal.

I liked everything I saw from him...all of it.
