Average points by division:

Central: 29.6
Pacific: 28.7

Atlantic: 30.4
Metropolitan: 32.6

Pacific division teams also have more GP than the other 3 divs, albeit not by much.

Pacific seems to get worse year after year, yet no easier to play in.

How is the west doing against the east though?

You can bet now that Skilless and Megna have showed up finally WD will move them up the lines...who that will be with remains to be seen.

Sutter is a bust with the twins at this point so with Hansen returning I can see him back with Sedins...which makes sense. We need to utilize Sutter for what he is best as and that's a 200' game at the centre position...2nd or third line.

- LordHumungous

I see Sutter as KEsler light. Plays center but plays front of the net on the PP with the Sedin's. If team is desperate for a goal maybe put him to the wing for a couple shifts but other then that should be center on another line.

I don't think they'll get moved up because Hansen has joined the team. You're right Sutter should be on the 3rd line.

Wow, just realized that Calgary is second in the division
When and how did that happen?

Weird

How is that possible with Brian Elliot?

East vs West: 86-49-19

West vs East: 68-69-17

Standouts are NYR with 9-2-0, WSH: 7-2-0,

Tampa is actually 0-5-0 vs the west.

Minnesota 8-3-1 is the only real good record in the west vs east.

Arizona: 2-7-1, Vancouver: 5-9-0, Dallas 0-3-2

They've played more games than anyone in the division, everyone except Edmonton has 3 or 4 games in hand on them

10-3-1 over their last 14. Calgary is playing well but they will be back to reality soon enough much like EDM. They just don't have the depth to keep that up. But I would like to see a CAL-EDM first round matchup though.

Elliott is sitting while Johnson steals his job.

I see him more as a more offensive Malhotra that we have in his prime, I like that they tried him with the Sedins and can see why they like him to take face offs there but I agree its a waste of his talents playing him there.

You could be right.

Sedin Sedin Hansen
Baer Bo Burr
Granlund Sutter Eriksson
Megna Gaunce Skille

Unless WD demotes Burr or baer to the 4th...

Wouldn't that be something to see gaunce pot a few vs FLA and see that 4th line just rolling...

That explains it.

Elliot got exposed because he didn't have the best defense core in the NHL in front of him anymore.

Getting scoring from all 4 lines ...your depth theory is very wrong

Pretty much. Kesler is a douche but he does play in the gritty areas which Sutter avoids a bit and to me it costs Sutter points where Kesler may get them.

I wouldn't put it past Willie to get Megna a 6 game run with the Sedins...we are talking about the guy that put our best centre starting the year with Dorsett and Burrows.

Happy that Horvat has improved Burrs trade value though...

- LordHumungous

Are you kidding me? You are still going on about less than 10 minutes of ice time in game 1 of the season... the beginning of a 4 game win streak... in a season where both Horvatt and Burrows are playing good... I don't see how there is room for a negative spin on this. Nothing bad came of it. It's not even worth mentioning after that game for poops sake...

What do you guys think of McJesus having a cry about Manning last night? Seems to me he needs thicker skin.

we'll see. Not that I'm unhappy the Flames are playing ok just can't see this level continuing. We've recently got scoring from all 4 lines too...

It's nice to see that the best team in the league is last in their conference.

Please Toronto media, tell us more about how bad the Canucks are...

Not sure kinda torn on it. McDavid has been pretty closed off about it saying his injury was an accidental play and such then Manning chirps him and tells him it was intentional. I gotta go with Mcdavid here for calling manning Classless and not answering the bell on the ice. Don't think it was whining.

i'm siding with mcdavid on this one. if a player wants to brag about injuring someone, i have no problem with what mcdavid did on the ice and what he said off of it.

They are paying Lucic a F load of money so McDavid doesn't have to deal with it.

If Manning said "hey I injured you on purpose"

McDavid simply goes to Lucic and just points. Milan didn't do anything last night.
