If you listen to the post game interview, the reporter asking the questions (just prior to the one about Manning) come off as the real bumholes. "another blown lead", "why is this team not meshing", etc

Good call. It is what it is. These kinds of things make for a little more excitement when 2 teams that only play each other twice a season, meet.
The team is fine, unfortunately on a night they score 5 goals they have a pretty poor backup tender in net.

What is said on the ice should stay on the ice? Good call Ek, next time a homophobic or racist slur is made the players should say nothing. And so what if he said something about it? You don't like a little bit of a rivalry in hockey?

I know what you are saying but honestly a homophobic or racist slur isn't the same as saying poop about an injury that happened last year. we don't even know exactly what was said but either way I don't view it the same. McDavid is a great great talent and fun to watch play but he is also coming across as whiny. I definitely expect him to grow from this. Look at Crosby the 18 yr old and the Crosby of today.
