rannta and darling were effing outstanding...
if panik could finish his breakaways and 2 on 1's he would have about 13 goals right..
that 3 on 1 has to go in...rannta cheats and guesses alot to use his quickness and compensate for his lack of size...he quessed right tonight...panik has to score on that...
i disdain the offsides challenges...if that's offsides so are 30% of the zone entrys that don't result in goals...
they allow those gratuitous line changes...hawks have benefited numerous times from those...the guy is 20-25 feet from the bench but clearly heading off and the puck is not in the vicinity and the replacement jumps the play....
but that OT 3 on 3...a bounce, a save, missed shot and a player change and its an odd man or break away the other way |

15 games since the winning streak ended.
7 wins 8 losses.
In regulation: 26 goals scored, 21 5x5.
They've only given up 31 in regulation in those 15 games, 21 5x5. - StLBravesFan
They've basically come back to where they were last year.
This will be an interesting stretch of games, probably more of the same
I can't imagine Darling isn't popping up on some GM's radar every game he plays he seems to get better |

Well ,I'll agree that the Hawks are nothing special, Q is gonna ride his 4-5 guys hard and wear them out , Every time I see Kevin Hayes and now Jimmy Vesey play, just wish our Illustrious GM, in Hayes case would have found a way to Fit Hayes in. Hayes signs here, prolly Vesey follows. oh well , we're stuck withguys like Hinostroza and Rassmusson, who prolly would not make 26 other teams instead of Vesey and Hayes. Good for you guys. Our GM likes these little guys instead. In my hockey world , screw that , you guys look good this year. Our goalies are the ONLY reason we have been able to bank points this year, even with no injuries. Well see where we are at come Feb. 1st.
Tonite, Darling is the only reason we even got a point out of this 1. And I Am A STH and was at the game tonite. No Kool Aid or consolation Kleenex here! - wonthecup10
C'mon Cup, those two didn't want to be here. So it's not on Bowman. SB has the toughest job in town. Sure there's blame on some trades. And Shaw is what they are missing the most in my opinion and would have been nice to keep him. But the league with the cap has the hawks skating uphill. That's not on Bowman. |

Uh I didnt complain but you are like every typical Rags fan. Going nuts over one win and booking the parade to the Canyon of Heroes. Let me repeat tool, prove something in the playoffs then you can return and troll all you want. - golfbard
And you are a typical hawks fan TOOL! For a team that's won as much as yours to complain about everything and female dog about refs being anti hawks in a reg season game is comical. Face it right now your team is ordinary get over it. Maybe we will do something in the playoffs, maybe not. But if the rangers had lost last night I for one would have been happy with a point on the road not crying about challenges line changes and missed calls. |

Hockey is one game where a 0-0 tie can be a really entertaining game and last night was a gem. Darling and Raanta put the show on.
As far as the Hossa goal, offside is not a judgement call. Is it is or is it ain't. All that matters. I hope the league had a view that we did not on tv because you couldn't see the puck. On goals the puck has to be seen. Why not an offside call? They are not supposed to overturn a call without being able to see the puck, but at least on tv that's what they did. The inconsistency is what drives people friggin nuts. |

I agree, can't blame Bowman for them going to NY, or the cap being what it is. |

Don't they have blue-line cameras - either at the top of the glass or close to the ice - that we don't see out there in televisionary land? |

Typical response. I will say one last time maybe it will get through your thick heads. Imho for as much as you have won there's to much crying and female doging here. You sound like teenage sore losers. So before you troll me I'm out of here just make sure you have enough Kleenex for the rest of the year. |

They do have blue line cameras and showed the far side one last night. But it was inconclusive. Never showed the near side view.
It looked offside by a hair to me as it happened. But the linesmen are in the play with guys who are bigger and faster than ever while having to keep from getting run over or hit with the puck. It's a tall task and they need help. I hope the closer camera showed it conclusively. I can make a call and find out. I'll get back to you on this. |

Ya guys are right, I guess I'm beatin a dead horse, just prolly on the ledge here a bit, with the non playoff teams of the 90's lurking in my mind with a big STH investment at hand, that fricken cap hurts,But I am Leary about the pattern Stanley targets......High school sized players, I still say, no Hinostroza Kool Aid here, no cap, he ain't even on this team, same with a couple of others. I am surprised the game went the way it did yesterday. Thought it would be like 5-1 Rangers. How long could they keep up with the horse shoe up the rear? Already taking its toll minus Corey's illness with injuries cause Q has no choice but to ride the horses hard.I like Motte and Hartman, back to Hinostroza, saw him at Navy pier, my 12 year old niece is bigger than him. |

What is Q's problem with Kempny? The guy has proven to be one of our top six defensemen and yet he consistently is a healthy scratch. Against a fast team like the Rangers, and already without Seabrook, Kempny sits in favor of our two slowest defensemen, Rozival and TVR. It doesn't make any sense. Q does stuff like this all too often and it drives me nuts. |

I agree quite a few of these kids would be getting seasoning in other leagues, instead of on the main stage. Honestly last night it sure seemed the Hawks had the better chances just couldn't finish. I think the late 90's is in the back of a lot of minds but I trust in Rocky. |

This might be a minority opinion but I think the Blackhawks lost out on Kevin Hayes when they traded his brother Jimmy. Had they kept Jimmy, Kevin might have signed for a chance to play with his brother. Keep them both and add Vesey. We'll never know. |

I agree Matt. As worried as I could get about going back to the dark days, there is a reason why SB is the GM and I am sending them 10 K checks every July instead of running the team! They'll get it squared away, Same goes for everyone that second guesses Uncle Joes Decisions during the WS, there is a reason Theo hired him instead of 1of us!! |
